I had such an amazing experience at the Visionworks Cumberland Mall location. Ulish treated me with nothing but kindness and great customer service. He remember me from earlier in the day when I had to leave after my check-up and returned to pick out my glasses. Dr. Joseph was also very professional and educational about the use of computer screens and ways to rest your eyes. I will be returning for future concerns.

This is my 2nd time coming here, I always receive great customer service and friendly and helpful treatment from the attire staff. The general manager Ulish Farmer is a God send!!!!! I will only come here to get my glasses and encourage everyone else to do so!!

Great doctor's and staff but customer service is a total bust. Customer service personnel made me super uncomfortable. Getting a straight answer from them is like pulling teeth. I'm still not sure what I paid for, when my order will be complete or if I pick up or if my order will be mailed. Edit: So it has been a little over 1.5 months since my initial visit to this location. In that time I received an email with order status and tracking for my contacts, however the order status never changed or updated, even after the estimated delivery date- Order Pending. After a month or so of no updates, I made numerous calls and inquiries and was finally able to get in touch with someone at the Cumberland location- Gretel (a manager, I believe). She was AMAZING and single handedly upped my review from 1 to 4 stars! She told me the order status and explained why it was taking so long AND went above and beyond to make up for it. Given her bright cheery disposition & excellent customer service, I would absolutely consider this location for my future optometry needs!

Ulish was absolutely clutch! I stopped in due to losing a contact on my road trip, and he was able to hook me up, when a sister branch of the optometrist company I go to would not help me! Thank you so much for your kindness and courteousness! I will definitely be making the switch to Vision Works!

I have been to this location numerous times over my years in Atlanta and I can tell you the quality has decreased tremendously. I made an appt online almost 3 weeks out as everything else is booked. I confirmed filled out my paperwork too beforehand. They called me while I was parking asking to confirm my 6:30 pm appt. I told them I’m walking in. The woman at the desk asked how she can help and I told her I had an appt for 6:30. Her demeanor said it all from there. She looked confused as I couldn’t possibly have one at that time which made me extra confused as to how I was able to book it. I ignored her and a guy whom I believe was apart of management came to the front. Once they talked she told me go to the back. Things went quick. I had no complaints. Got my prescription and paid for my contacts that were supposed to be ready at the most 7 days. It’s been 2 weeks. I have tried calling numerous times through out day and it kept connecting me to the call center since the store doesn’t pick up. Even the call center can’t get in touch with them. If they can not do business they need to be closed. I need my left eye looked at again and how do I communicate with them if they are unresponsive. I don’t think wasting a customer time to come to the store to get an appt that’s another 2-3 weeks out is the answer especially if they are short staffed and can’t assist same day. This is crazy. I have no contacts only a trial pair that gives me blurriness in my left eye AND they have already been paid. Awaiting to be contacted as I have put in a formal complaint. Front person needs to be trained on proper customer service as well. Being that they are the first interaction upon walking into the store, they set the tone. A friendly person is much needed. We are here because we need assistance with vision related things. We aren’t shopping for shoes and bags so treat customers better man. And forget about the survey they send you. It’s not even a survey based on your experience at this store. It’s more about getting to know what other retailers you have experience with. all bad.

Today was my first time visiting this location and it was a great experience! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. And everyone I interacted with was very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed with Doctor. I asked a few questions and he took the time to answer them all. I will definitely be returning.

This is my first review post but I deemed it necessary. The Visionworks Cumberland location is the definition of poor customer service. It feels as though they are trained in the art of poor service. This is no an indictment of the doc and his support staff that assist in the contact exam - they are great. I went in last year to pick you glasses. We selected a frame and they were too busy to complete my purchase and said they would call me back that day to complete to transaction. Three days later, I missed their single call back (I was working). I returned their call at which point they told me they cannot complete a transaction over the phone and I had to come back. I elected to go purchase at Target. Against my better judgement, I returned Jan 5 for an eye exam. Their system was down and the process took close to 2 hours. Since their system was down, I was informed they would call me back to complete payment and order my contacts. After missing their phone call (I was working), I returned their call. It took maybe 4 attempts of 15 min long wait times before I got to the right contact. They told me that I had to come in because they do not process orders over the phone and I had to come in 😑. I of course will not be ordering from their location nor ever be returning.

Vision Works is a good company. Of all the stores that I know of, I would advise any and everyone not to do business at the Cumberland location. I will just leave it at that. You have been warned. I have been at other stores and treated much better. Have a blessed day all who is reading this post.
