I am yet another person that got switched to them from Simple. It has been a hassle and then some to get my money out! I got so frustrated from the 2.5hr I was on the phone trying to get my money out I started crying and had to hang up. No one is trained on the phone lines and I got 4 different answers as to how to ask for my money and close the account. I decided to pay the wire transfer fee just to avoid confusion. I’m pretty sure they would have told me my funds “got lost in the mail” or “sent to the wrong address” if I had gone the other route. What an awful bank.

Absolute worst bank I have ever seen. Customer service is a zero. This bank has allows fraudulent activity. Upon requesting the fraud dept. concerning their customers payee making fraud account , I was told “there is nothing they can do by a representative named Christine, let it take it course”. Also told me there is no supervisor or manager. Keep in mind this issue is 5 weeks.

Awful awful awful. I unfortunately had to switch to them in the Simple switchover and it's been crashes and rude customer service. The site crashed as I was trying to set up the account for the switch and I've been locked out since. I called, had to wait 35 minutes to get someone that was so condescending and all of that to be told it would take TWO HOURS to receive an email with a temporary password to gain access to my account.

Absolute worst banking services I've ever come across. Its so bad that I'm sure they don't care about their 1 star reviews. I'm not even mad. Just amazed on how pitiful their billing, customer service, and applications are. BBVA is is the bottom of the dumpster fire which is the banking industry.

I love this bank had a few issues that were resolved expeditiously only issue I do have is the fact that they need to take my pending balances out quickly because it seems like I’m being double charged otherwise great banking!

Bbva Compass has been taking small amounts of my money for years as a dba debit and can not give any insight on why they are taking the money nor when they will return it. I have no loans out with them and the service is terrible. No one has been able to rectify this issue! I am closing this account as soon as it gets corrected!!!

I had an online savings account and decided it was not as advertised. Called BBVA to close account and the person I spoke with said I needed to zero the account close out, after I zeroed the account it was never closed and I should have followed up to ensure it happened. Three months later, I get a letter stating the account was over drafted but that wasn’t the case, but they were charging me account maintenance fees. I called to see if they would wave the fees, they refused and stated it was in line with their banking policies. After this issue with BBVA I would never use them for anything in the future and if you choose to do business with them, do it at your own risk. I understand the stock market is downward spiral and banks like these will try take advantage of customers with their hidden charges. Lesson learned and I’ll guarantee you that I will never do any type of banking with BBVA in the future and one star is too much. Military be aware and stay away from banks they use these types of underhanded practices to take your money, especially with the stock market in free fall.

Got in contact with angel and he was able to assist me right away ‘ and I can access my funds ... if you want to get anything solved ‘ keep calling until you get ahold of a guy named Angel .. you will not regret it

It was fairly easy to open my MM account but very difficult to fund. The bank had all kinds of limits and restrictions on how to fund the account. After spending multiple hours and about $50 in wire transfer fees (from both the originating bank and BBVA), I finally got my money into my account. Can't understand why they make it so difficult. If I hadn't already invested several hours in the process, I would have closed the account and taken my money elsewhere.
