Definitely a very good store. Normal prices. If you from Europe and miss the home foods or childhood sweets this is the place! I'll definitely try to see how the shipping works and keep buying staff! I wish it was closer to me for a drive but i hope the website it has everything that it was in the store

I found this market while visiting Atl and was truly impressed. We lived in Turkey for four years and missed the food/culture. I ended up with a car full of all of our favorite foods and drinks and ingredients to make our own Turkish meal. The lemon hand cleaner brought back so many memories! The owner was super nice and the lady at checkout was as well. We have been back once to restock and plan on returning every trip.You won’t be disappointed in this hidden gem.

We do not live in the city but if we are nearby we always visit this place to shop. It has always been a clean, well organized place with friendly staff. Wide variety of products. The owner is always very friendly and kind. He would recommend products and even offer you some samples or free products. Not like many other international stores. They also sell online but it has always been a pleasure to shop in the store when we are in the area. I strongly suggest that you give this place a try, you will not regret it.

Bakkal International Grocery in Sandy Springs not only sells Israeli products, very visibly as the products have Hebrew packaging, but defends their right to do so. It broke my heart to see cookies being sold stating “Product of Haifa” when that is the city my grandfather was expelled from and having the store associate (owner?) show no remorse for their actions. Sad to see American Jews who own multimillion dollar corporations like Ben & Jerry’s boycott Israel whereas small mom & pop Muslim businesses cannot. I vow to boycott this business as they are supporting the economy of a genocidal apartheid state. I encourage any defenders of peace and human rights to do the same. Bakkal, you have blood on your hands. Do the right thing, and take the Israeli flag off your window and Israeli products off the floor. Until then, your money is dirty, and I have spread the word amongst the community. Your choice now.

Tl;Dr: if you are thinking about ordering online and Bakkal carries what you want, go for it!! I have not been to the store in person, but I know they have great customer service. Here's why. I decided to order 5L of a favorite soda because shipping from Bakkal looked fast & costs less than gas for driving two hours to the closest store to me that carries it. Looked like a legit brick and mortar store with good reviews so I placed an order. They were out of stock of exact 2x 2.5L bottles I ordered, so they called me the next day to ask if it was ok to send the same volume in 2 different size bottles (1.5+3.5L). Same product, same volume, but very considerate to ask. The order arrived 2 days later, carefully packed in multiple layers of bubble wrap and shrink wrap. This demonstrates the shipping times map shown on their site is accurate and it IS fast. The drinks arrived in perfect condition and are of good quality.

The store has a good selection of Mediterranean snacks, chocolates, cheese, frozen foods and more. I needed to purchase some chocolates for a charity event. The manger was helpful and provided some good options. They have a great selection of European chocolates at a much cheaper price than other commercial stores. The manger also offered to ship my items which he carefully packed in a ‘cooler bag’ to ensure they don’t melt in the summer heat. The hazelnut wafer chocolate was delicious.

Good store for Mediterranean products in Atlanta. Clean and well organized. They have good selection of Mediterranean Sweets, Chocolates, tea powder, varieties of coffee, spices, pickles and Juices. They also sell varieties of dried fruits and breads. They also have limited European products. Excellent customer care. Will visit again.

Having recently returned from the Middle East I was craving some items from the region. A Google search led me to Bakkal and I was not disappointed. The store is well laid out and packed with regional inventory. Though the products are primarily Turkish, there are items from other countries. The staff was very helpful, and prices are reasonable for imports. I left with enough to satisfy my sweet tooth for a while.

The Owner is very friendly and polite. Anytime we get a chance to travel to Atlanta we give Bakkal store a visit. They have almost everything, if you are looking for Mediterranean or European foods this is the right place to visit you won't be disappointed. Recommended!
