My neighbor Doug showed me his tires which looked good but a little worn. He took the car in to get them rotated and they refused claiming that they were too worn AT ONLY 30,000!! He baby's his car and the tires will rated for well over 30,000 miles. So, instead of informing him of him consumer right or an implied warranty, THEY TOLD HIM HE HAD TO PAY $1200 FOR FOUR NEW TIRES AND HE DID!! We need to take action against places such as this Discount Tire and protect our elderly citizens, family, and friends.

The salesman was very helpful. I thought something was wrong with my tire and it actually wasnt the case. It was simply the air pressure. He was very knowledgeable and offered to to help me in the future if I needed to come back though.

I came in with the intentions and enough money to get two new tires. This worker Jeremy was extremely helpful and concerned about my safety so much I ended up being blessed out of nowhere and received 4 new tires . You the man Jeremy and you definitely made my day. I definitely recommend people to go to discount tire Located in Portage. You guys have definitely won me over and will be my only choice when it comes to tires for my vehicle. Fast in and out. Bought 4 new tires over the phone. The salesman was so very helpful and courteous. He did not pressure me at all. He helped me with the many choices, told me my options, ordered the tires and called me when they were delivered to their store. Before the technician started he verified with me which tires were to be mounted and proceeded in a timely manner.

Just put tires on my Cadillac ATS. Did a bit of homework prior to going in because I'm a widow and was afraid of being taken advantage of. These salesman weren't what I was expecting. They were very courteous and professional. The initial sales person walked me out to my car and explained what he was looking for and why, even kneeled down ground and showed me why my car was riding strangely. I needed an alignment a belt was showing through. He explained how treads on tires can effect the transmission in the end. I compared prices from discount tires to everywhere around Lake County Indiana they were the cheapest around for my Continental Extreme Contact DWS6+. They ordered my tires and they were in the next day. It only took an hour to do all 4. We got a bite to eat at Texas roadhouse just 2 doors down. Will be going back for any & all my tire needs. Great experience guys! Thank you so much for a job well done.

Today, I walked out of my home to see my tire flat sitting on the rim in my driveway. I removed the tire and took it to Discount. I called first to let them know I was coming and that it would be a sense of urgency, if somehow they can fit me in within the next 30 mins and get me thru fast. The gentleman politely agreed for me to bring it in and get me thru..Once I get there, the tire gets fixed and gets put back into my sons trunk..I let him know I have to go in an pay and I'll be fast. The Discount Tire employee says to me , "Don't worry about, Have a nice day." I assumed he was doing a nice deed by taking care of the cost as he saw the urgency in my eyes and knew I'd pay it forward for sure and let me get on my way!! I soon get on with my day and tell a friend about the morning set back with my tire and just how great discount tire was etc.. She filled me in that they ALWAYS fix flats for FREE...baaahaaaahaaaa... Makes sense!! Did I feel special ...The employee left that part out. LOL I never asked the price either because it was a non factor as I needed it done and the cost was inevitable. But ALL GOOD! I am pleased I had the best service ever and for a few hours after felt extra special for them fixing it for free. Thank you to the best employee ever! Thank you Discount tire guy whom which I didn't catch his name ..You got me in and out of there within 15 mins and helped keep me on track with my daily agenda! My 20-year old daughter went on her first road trip with friends today to see an NBA playoff game 11 hours away. On the way, they got a flat tire, got scammed by a towing company, then finally arrived at Discount Tire in Portage. When they were told it was going to be a 3-hour wait, my daughter broke down and cried realizing they would miss the game they already paid for. The professionals at Discount Tire got them back on the road in thirty minutes after they saw her crying. Our family is grateful for the fantastic service and professionalism with the employees at Discount Tire in Portage. Thank you!

Careful. They may charge you for their nice but expensive replacement certificate program without asking you if you want it first as it says they should on the company website. They may also mislead walk ins by telling them they are next in line only to be told much later that you are not because appointment customers showed up afterwards. Going to give them a three based on a single poor communication experience.

I had a flat I have been to this company before very fine service all around. And decided to have tires rotated and balanced. Another fine job. Fixed my jittery front tires with the balancing. Would recommend this company to anyone.
