I'd give 0 stars if I could. I reserved a full size car 2 weeks in advance. I called to confirm the reservation 5 days before the pick-up since the location in Derby KS doesn't stock vehicles, they bring the cars from Wichita to Derby and you get what you get. 30 minutes before our reservation the manager from Wichita calls to tell me that they don't have a full size car and that they were bringing a mini van. UNACCEPTABLE! If I wanted a mini van I would have rented one and the last I checked a car and mini van aren't the same. The manager was very unhelpful he wouldn't transfer the reservation to a different location so I could pick up elsewhere.. He made me call customer service and they were just as unhelpful and wanted to charge more money because I modified the reservation. What a bunch of BS, will never do business with Hertz again!!

Had a great experience overall, but it was difficult to find to return the vehicle. There are no signs or markings to show that the Hertz office is inside the auto shop, so I initially thought there had been a mistake. Once I went inside to ask, I was told that it was the correct location but that nobody was there to help me. Apparently, it is only staffed by one person. It was t too big of a deal because someone from the auto shop took my drop off keys. I was simply told that “they would contact me if they found any problems”. It was definitely a different experience, and a somewhat confusing one because I was left to hope everything was okay, than I’ve had at other rental places. The car itself was great! It was small, but it held up to the harsh weather like a champ. It was clean, good on gas, and was well worth the price point. I also really appreciate that Hertz allows for renters to use a debit card. There’s a hefty deposit required, but it’s understandable and well worth it when so many other places will only accept a credit card.

We absolutely loved our vehicle. We drove it to Colorado from Wichita with our 14 month old so we had a lot of stuff to carry along. We were so happy to find out we were upgraded from a mid size Sadan to a beautiful and smooth running suv (Kia sarento). We loved it so much we are planning to buy one next year! The only complaint we would have is that although we prepaid (which got us a 50 discount), they still had to hold an additional 200 on our credit card, which left us with no credit spending money on our trip, as our card is secured. Getting the vehicle seemed pretty unorganized. The internet wad down so they didn't give us the registration and didn't seem to have much information. He just handed me the keys and said have fun. I had to speak with the owner of the establishment (it was not inside a hertz building) to find out where to drip my keys off. I passed the place twice because there was no indication that hertz was located inside. The vehicle was pretty dirty when I got it also. The guy asked if I wanted him to vacuum it out right then and I declined. We returned it cleaner than we got it. I will say though, they returned our 200 before we dropped it off. Overall, pretty happy with our experience.

Fantastic experience! Love the off airport location in Delano, made it super fast and convenient for pickup and dropping off of the vehicle. Very impressed with the vehicle we were given as well. Super clean, newer model van that was comfortable for our family to have a relaxing weekend trip.

My partner and I received our reservation in email which told us the time and date and type of car we were picking up. We get to the location today and they state that we were supposed to make an appointment for our reservation. Uhhhh, what's the purpose of the reservation if you have to make an appointment in addition to the reservation? We rent several cars a month for our travels. This location was ridiculous. They didn't have ANY Hertz attendants at the location and the bodyshop service guys said they were a satellite location and they just rent the space to Hertz. So they had to call a Hertz representative to come down to Derby from Wichita. We waited for 45 minutes. We called them back, and they hadn't even left Wichita. We waited another 45 minutes before they arrived. Then it took another 30 minutes to process everything. Honestly, won't be using this location ever again. What a fiasco. They shouldn't have Hertz on the sign if they don't have someone there during normal business hours. What a terrible way to do business.

i always go here staff are friendly, cars i get are awesome and i always get a lift from my place and back. but if u book a day before the rental and want a pickup you should call them and request it, they usually say yes unless you live really far away.

We rented from the Newton location, which in their defense is in fact short on vehicles with the recent floods in the Wichita area. We reserved a full size car (Malibu, Camery, Chrysler 200, ect) we received a Hundi Accent (closest vehicle to what we reserved, but certainly not a full size vehicle.. one of the only vehicles left on the lot) we did take the vehicle BUT we stopped in Salina to exchange the vehicle for what we reserved. The customer service was very helpful and friendly. Absolutely no complaints about the vehicle we received. A 2016 Toyota camery sport in excellent condition with >30k miles. We will definitely continue to use Hertz in the future for our car rental needs!

This number rerouted me to Wichita and they booked me a week ago. I show up and they had NOTHING I needed!!!!! I could have booked with someone else and now it's too late! Horrible!!! Watch out if you book its no gaurantee!!

We rented a vehicle at the Newton Municipal Airport because their longer hours allowed us to save one day's rent (compared to the Hertz location in Newton). The staff there was very friendly and helpful. However, I was unable to book a rental on the Hertz website and had to call three times (to two different Hertz locations) to finally secure our rental. In my opinion the website and online rental process could be improved.
