6 Best grocery store in Birmingham, Alabama (AL) 2024

Great full supermarket in Downtown. Large selection of so much to choose from. The store noticeable has a lack of emphasis on health items. Nothing whole grain in bakery, nothing healthy in the deli etc. there is still so much in the fruits and veggies aisle and prices are reasonable. ~Y

Love this store, especially the seafood department. One guy, Stan, is always extremely helpful with helping me make my selection since I don't know much about the different shrimps. Tried the red Argentinean shrimp last time on the grill as he suggested. OMG, I thought I was eating lobster! Will definitely buy them again. ~Trissy

Stock in carts on sales floor. Products stacked on floors. Messy. Hard to get around, accessibility ♿ was an issue. ~Karrawinds

Love this Target! It is very clean and huge. I asked if they sold iPods in the store and the friendly guy from electronics went to the back and brought me one out. He was friendly and helpful. The girl selling AT&T service was really friendly also. She went and got us help and told us all about the services they have. Will definitely come back and shop at this location. We got some lunch boxes on clearance too ~S.

Winn-Dixie is the only place to shop for groceries! All in all, I think they have better prices. They have a great rewards program also. Getting in and getting out is a breeze. I refuse to buy groceries at Walmart. Shelves are lined with boxes of food. It’s difficult to find what your looking for. Then walk a mile to find your car. I’ve shopped at Winn-Dixie since they opened. And they do some outdoor rib cooking for certain holidays and other occasions. Those ribs are almost as good as mine. 😅 ~Johnny
