6 Best truck rental agency in Miami, Florida (FL) 2024

The office was closed (even though it said open) we changed the pick up form on the app to pick up the keys with a code but we couldn't open the rusty lock. They put us on hold 47 minutes. Terrible service. ~R

I rarely write reviews, but since Budget has consumed so much of my time and energy, Im doing it now. On July 12th I drove to a Budget facility located at 114the place. I spoke with Jen and she told me that she had a 26 foot truck available for tomorrow, but I should reserve online to get a 20% promotion. I reserved a truck on the 12th online for the budget facility located at 12162 SW 114th Pl, Miami, FL 33176. Here is my confirmation number ******4641 The following morning I show up as scheduled 855 am but I notice the truck is no longer there. I get this bad feeling something is wrong, but may be they just moved the truck to fuel or clean. I go inside and Jen tells me the truck was taken yesterday for maintenance and she has been on the phone ALL morning trying to located another truck. I asked her why didn't anyone call me yesterday or this morning? She said it happened at 420pm yesterday and they close at 430pm. I asked why didn't someone from corporate call me? Silence. I asked her why didn't you call me first thing this morning? Silence. I waited in the facility for 30 min while Jen was on hold supposedly looking for a truck. It was now 925am and I told her I need to be in broward at 10am. I waited a couple more minutes and I told her to cancel the rental. Jen said ok and apologized. I left to a U-haul facility nearby- rented a truck without problems. Jen was polite but her failure or the facilities failure, was not calling me the day before or first thing in the morning. This morning I look at my Credit card and Budget has the nerve to charge me a "no show" fee of $50. Naturally Im disputing the charge, but that takes more of my time and energy. Look these maintenance things happen, but a phone call from this facility or corporate would have been the proper thing to do, in order start searching for a replacement truck the day before or cancel and allow me to find another truck. I missed my 10 am appointment in Broward. Budget demonstrated complete disregard for their clients and by charging me a "no show" fee further demonstrates the severe problems in their systems and company. I expect this type of service in the islands or 3rd world countries, not here. Very unprofessional. Not recommended! ~Robert

Will never book another Penske from this location again. I booked a 12-ft truck for a baby shower that I had yesterday so we can move the decorations. When I got there, they told me that they were not aware of a reservation even though I booked this 5 days in advance and he told me that I will have to call Penske to figure out what happened and why they didn't drop it off at the location. I called the customer service and they told me they could not figure out why my truck was not there and they can have me pick up another one. Long story short, we had to end using U-Haul for another spot which took an additional hour and a half because it was on short notice. Because of that hiccup, it set the tone for the rest of the day and we had to end up rushing our event because it took a lot of time out of what we had to do. It was a complete nightmare!! ~Mia

Don't rent these trucks unless you are absolutely sure you can return by the appointed return day & time. I returned the truck 2 hours and 9 minutes beyond the 24 hour period. They rounded up the 2:09 to 3 hours, and charged me 3 hours at an hourly rate that almost equaled the daily rate I had already paid for. They doubled the charges for the hand cart, blankets, and all the insurances from 1 day to 2 days. So, I was charged essentially 2 full days for a 26 hour and 9 minute rental. Don't expect Home Depot to help you with the charges because they turf it all to Penske. I called the national Penske number to protest the excessive overcharges. They couldn't help me but referred me to the local Miami Penske office. I spoke to a representative there who said he would refund me everything beyond 1 day. 1 week later, nothing. Called again today, and got the run-around. 1 star for the new & good condition of the truck. Zero stars for everything else. ~Ri

Can’t say enough, got me a truck last minute and were super professional. Maybe more expensive than some other places but totally worth every penny. Won’t cancel reservation at the last minute like other places. ~Ian

I was renting a truck for long-term yearly rental any news been the worst experience ever. trying to set up the account and communicate with the sales rep to get the truck originally was an absolutely nightmare and I should’ve took that as a sign not to rent a truck from there picked up the truck truck is wonderful I love the truck they called for a mileage check give them the miles thanking that they were going to charge me my money and everything else two weeks later they call me telling me that I have a bill and then they were charging me a weekly rate of $1600 stating that they never got my paperwork for my yearly rental which is less than that a month instead of working with me and trying to figure out some thing she sent me another bill or statement with my amount owed and the money that I would have to do for Yearly rental come to almost $7000 so for a mistake they made I’m getting all these extra charges with this money should be going towards my yearly rental anyway. Don’t go there u will be very unhappy had to stop working and drive back to fl from ny. To deal with this . Stay away ~Kyle
