I love this store! Sometimes you just need a great gift shop, and while Hallmark remains the gold-standard, variety is the spice of life. You'll find gifties of all sorts here in a slightly limited but ever changing supply. Half of the store is an actual jewelry store. The gift half always has interesting new things, fun gifts, inspiring do-dad's, fun magnets, nightlights, scarves, etc. It's definitely worth a monthly visit, and I always get something when I visit.

Fast service for watch/clock batteries but be forewarned there’s a $10 minimum for credit or debit purchases. I ended up getting a second battery but won’t be back.

I bought a wrist watch from them today, and am very happy with the whole experience. Great customer service and listening! They showed me almost a dozen different watches until I finally settled on one that I really liked. It's on my wrist right now as I write this review. I would recommend this store to anyone.

I don't usually write reviews. I first went to Gold Castle in 2014 and will not go anywhere else for watch repairs and jewelry purchases. Tank is my go-to guy for anything and everything jewelry-related. I buy a lot on amazon, but I only trust a family-owned store for jewelry where I won't get ripped off. If you're good to these people, they are good to you and they value your return business. To me it all comes down to being treated fairly, like I matter, and that I trust my money is being spent wisely. You can't go wrong with Gold Castle.

Worst customer service I've ever endured in the Washington D.C. - Rockville metropolitan area. After two weeks of waiting on a job order, I showed up at this Gold Castle store with my checkbook to pick up a simple work order for a trophy plaque engraving - 4 lines / 12 words. I would have paid for it on the spot, but the order was not ready. The clerk - Dina (could be manager or owner), then berated me for not having listened to a voice mail the store (or she) had left me to say they had no bronze plaques, and that I had to chose between black and silver. Because I didn't want black or silver, I suggested that Gold Castle use the original bronze plaque I had brought in on day one for sizing, and I asked how much the 12-word engraving job would cost. Dina said it would cost $25, using the original 1" x 3" plaque I had provided, which seemed unreasonable to me (over $1/letter!), so I said I would take the job elsewhere, and needed my property returned. At this point Dina refused to give me my plaque, demanding a picture ID. I returned with a picture ID, and even then had to reason with a "cool headed" employee to get my plaque returned to me. As I was leaving the store, Dina yelled from behind the counter that her co-worker "TAKE HIS PICTURE!" as if I were some sort of criminal whose picture had to be put on file. The "attitude" ragging that I had to endure from Dina is too much to leave unchecked. My complaint will of course go directly to the owner, and if unresolved, then to the BBB. This kind of employee does NOT belong behind a counter providing customer service. Again - the WORST!
