Made a reservation. They didn't have the car I reserved and refused to give me another vehicle. Extremely nasty and unprofessional staff. Don't use them.

The experience was a complete and utter joke. I made a reservation days in advance to rent a Tesla model 3 for Uber and when I got there (after wasting 40 dollars on an Uber rides) I am told that they don't rent cars to Uber in that location... To actually spend 40 to 60 more dollars going to two other locations where I "might" get lucky...

This is officially the worst rental car place in Paramus (maybe all of NJ). I used to rent here for years for business travel but never again. The last 2 times I rented a car here the following happened: 1st time - Had to wait 30 min until they gave me a car and the car they gave me was so dirty and discussing that after I drove off the lot (I was in a hurry to get to a meeting) I turned right around and asked for a new car. 2nd time (last week) - the car they gave me had a quarter tank when I picked it up, then the transponder kept saying "Call Admin Service" every time I went through a toll booth. Then after I dropped the car after hours (left keys in the drop box) today (4 days later) I find out they billed me for 4 days when I only rented the car for 1 day??? They over charged me by $334! My company pays for the rentals but due to the awful service and stupidity of the people that work here I will never rent at this location again. I really hope Hertz management reads this review so they can understand just how bad this location is. I am going to rent from Avis in Paramus moving forward, they can't be as incompetent as this Hertz location.

Horrible service. Booked a car online . Drove 20 minutes to get there and they don’t have any car to give me . When walked in no one was in the office. Waited 5/7 minutes then someone showed up to tell me they don’t have any car . Not recommended at all .

Hertz website allowed me to book a small sedan, which was necessary since I needed the car for a very long trip (aka needed good mileage). After finishing up paperwork I was given a midsize suv. Was told they were out of small cars but don't worry this is an upgrade free of charge. No...not free of charge. Definitely spent an extra $100 on gas due to this. Nice fellow but hertz is awful

I was sent here to get a rental from insurance agency. THEY HAVE THE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. They can’t get help up at there store as well as the phone system ,HORRIBLE. I warn you, do not give this place your time or money ! And to top it off my rental smelled of mildew due to the floor being wet INSIDE THE CAR! Never AGAIN

Never had such a bad experience. The car was dirty inside and out, not cleaned or disinfected from previous rental even though Hertz claims to be committed to cleanliness. The vehicle was very poorly maintained, shook violently while applying brakes at highway speeds. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to complain about cleanliness when rented.

great place, excellent service, pleasure to deal with, and quick. I checked in and checked out in approximately 6 minutes Mike was really helpful and nice. the car was awesome served it's purpose. I highly recommend this location!

As other reviews have stated, there is always a wait here to pick up or drop off a car. Always a minimum of 3 people waiting. On top of that, they never had the cars cleaned and ready to go. After the check in process, usually had to wait another 15 min for them to clean the car. Otherwise, staff is pretty friendly.
