The Thrifty rep at the airport was willing to wait for our late flight arrival past their 12:00 midnight closing so that we could pickup our car rental. He recommended that we provide him updates on our flight arrival. Very much appreciated! Everything would have been perfect except for the mid-size sedan that we reserved had to be substituted with a Chrysler Pacifica mini-van which was much bigger than we needed. But we didn't need to pay extra for the upgrade.

My experience with Thrifty was so much easier and better then any other car rental business. No down payment, I can use my debit card and the price was great! The car was clean and my booking was fast and easy!

Usually have a reservation with different agencies. After waiting half an hour for an Uber that never got close to the airport we decided to rent. Thrifty was the only agency with cars. No corporate rate so price was almost twice other agencies. The trainee helping us was nice but the process was laborious. The car’s fuel gauge did not read as full when we got the car but we filled it to not be charged the exorbitant 150% mark up on gas prices. When we returned the car we were charge another full day’s rent because it was a bit past the cut off. We were never informed of the cutoff time or the penalty - and the rate wasn’t even prorated for the time We actually had the car. Turns out it was not “thrifty” at all to use this agency and we will not use Thrifty or Dollar again.

The whole staff here is amazing to work with! Kassidy and Kathie always help me when I need a vehicle and they’re crew of Sean and Matt always have a fresh clean car! I love renting vehicles from them. Definitely a go to!

Had the easiest time renting a car from Thrifty. The people are ILM are super kind and patient and very accommodating. They greet you with a smile and answer all your questions. Would recommend.

Very pleased with all of the help I received at the Thrifty Car Rental ILM Airport location; Kathie is the best there is! She made everything easy as can be from my last minute reservation I made to picking up my rental & returning it. They make sure their vehicles are up to date with maintenance & in safe conditions for their clients to travel in. They have really great, safe, new & fun vehicles to drive too!

Staff was professional and friendly. Had some questions about the billing and was concerned (because of the way I booked online it didn’t seem to match what I saw when I checked the vehicle back in). However, the staff person I called was helpful and contacted management who called me back right away and explained in detail what I was seeing on my receipt. Only thing I can think they could do better is to make sure customers know when to return a vehicle because if a person books online, the return time on the online agreement can reflect differently. All in all - great experience!

Rented a car at the Wilmington airport location. 286 was agreed upon amount for a vehicle similar to a hero Cherokee. They gave me a mini van. Then they charged 250 for “excessive dirt” characterized in contract as “pet hair or smoke” I did neither. Next they are demanding 600 for “damages” that were absolutely not there upon turning car in and they did not notify me until a week after. I asked to see a receipt for repairs and was told that they do repairs in bulk? So am I just paying them for other repairs? Have complained multiple times with no answer. Bottom line: this company is shady and will try to steal your money. I will never recommend this rental company and will continue to preach against them. Use literally any other rental company or just buy a car…it’ll be cheaper.

Great experience! I got the 'surprise' car for a great deal. It was $35 a day. What I got, a brand new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk. Awesome little car. Super smooth. Fun to drive. Put gas in it and returned it. The staff was super helpful, fast and attentive. Would recommend, thank you!

I don’t normally use Thrifty, but I am now a fan. I had an 11:30 pm arrival time for my flight. I attempted to book with Avis where I have a President’s Club membership. They close at 10:30 pm. I made a reservation request and they were supposed to call me to confirm after hours pickup but they never did. After several calls they informed me they would not honor my request and didn’t think it necessary to contact me to inform me of this. So I booked with Enterprise instead who is open until midnight. My flight was delayed. Enterprise learned of this so called me on the tarmac just before takeoff to inform me they would not wait 30 minutes for my flight to arrive ~12:30 am. The Enterprise rep recommended Thrifty after asking the Thrifty rep if he would be staying late. He acknowledged he would. When I arrived the Thrifty rep was very friendly and informed me it is his company’s policy to always have someone stay late to accommodate any flight delays. I appreciate Thrifty for their outstanding customer service and will definitely be giving Thrifty more business in the future.
