Pretty cool place to get charleston/South Carolina merchandise. Plenty of stuff to choose from and the staff to me at least we're making jokes and being very friendly and nice. Cool nic-nack shop to stop at in Charleston and get some souvenirs.

Gave the stars for the employees that work there, missed out on one because of the head people there. I’m guessing it’s their manager but you can tell that he doesn’t care about them. I know when it floods and the people that drive cars can’t get there but that’s their fault? That’s a problem in my opinion.. listen to your employees!! Yanno how a lot of places were/are closing because not enough employees & how employees wouldn’t come in because of not enough pay and also mistreatment at work, well that may happen here. I know how it is so when I see it, it’s just a shame. Maybe it’s just my opinion but the employees need treated better & they need some credit for keeping the workplace how it’s supposed to. And listen it’s downtown, places can close for just a lil bit so people don’t have to worry about messing up their car or how they’re going to get to & from work.

Went in there immediately started finding souvenir gifts for family, looked up was being followed and watched by staff , no one said a word hi, how can we help you, nothing just watching us immediately called my husband told him to put everything back and left, since been in Charleston only bad experience..

The Five & Dime General Store on Market Street in Charleston is a great place to find a cool drink, a snack, or cool items at good prices. This store has a lot of different items on display from essential items that you could use in an emergency if you are need or just random fun items that you can purchase. The store is relatively large and wide open and is easy to walk through and find a new surprise around every corner. I like general stores like this because you never know what you will find and most items are cute and entertaining. The checkout process is usually pretty quick and efficient even though the line can back up when it is busy. I have always had a good experience every time I have been here.

We stopped here so we could grab some t-shirts, a few other souvenirs and a much needed pair of sunglasses. This is a great place for a quick stop, the prices were reasonable and the staff was nice and friendly.

Great for a quick in and out when in a jam for a cold drink or a bandaid. You can get South Carolina branded stuff as a souvenir as well.

What a gem of a store! Went in to browse and get some stamps and also needed one envelope to mail something and the manager or owner went to the office and gave me one for free! Staff at the register were friendly, personable and funny. Highly recommend!
