I have been a Verizon customer since 1990 and my last 3 trips to a store were not what I would term successful. Greenville Ave - now gone; then last week with Branden Skillman store) who was very nice, upgraded me to a new phone (I was due a free upgrade but still paid $50+?) but no help in transferring apps, info, etc to new phone and the store had no protective covers. Next day I went to Oak Lawn store to get a cover and tried to ask a couple of question but before that happened, the young lady who waited on me excused herself to speak with someone who had just entered the store. She "threw over her shoulder" as she walked away that she would get someone to help me - did not happen. Her badge said Manager. I finally just walked out. My thought is:. If you are going to sell phones, fine, but don't offer services/help you don't/won't give. And, it is good the store on NW Hgwy/Preston Center is gone to as they had the rudest, least caring people of all.

Very helpful staff that was very patient with all my questions. They took care of all my account changes to help me get the most out of my account and made my transition to a new phone easy.

They told us the wait was 20 min. We waited an hour only for the guy to be rude and not helpful. I wanted to upgrade my phone he said it wasn’t possible, and didn’t give me any options.

Last year I switched three lines to Verizon and all three phones were eligible for a “free” upgrade. We only upgraded one phone and were told there were no strings attached except that we had to stay with Verizon for one year. Fast-forward six months, my daughter‘s phone was stolen and she had to get a new phone again. I understand having to pay for a new phone. However, we were told that we had to pay $600 for the old “free” upgraded phone that was stolen AND pay for the new phone. How is that a free upgraded phone if you have to pay for it if it’s lost or stolen?? Shouldn’t matter what happens if it’s a free phone as long as we pay for the new one and continue service. Am I missing something?? We were also told that we had to stay with them for two years, not one. Not what we were told in the beginning. Now we’ve paid $600 for a “free” phone and we’re paying for a new phone for three years. So this will cost $1400 by the time it’s all said and done. Completely deceptive and their customer service sucks. If you’re thinking of switching, DON’T!!

Customer service today was great. Rocky helped me and was courteous and friendly. I changed phones and needed a new SIM card. I was in and out quickly. The new location is easily accessible.

Brandon went out of his way to help me purchase my new phone. He was very helpful and courteous. It was a pleasant experience. I would give him six stars if I could.

The store understands people with differences and disabilities. Mike was solid in actively listening and being patient with me since I am living with Neurodiversity issues and challenges. Spoke with Jose about my needs and expectations establish understanding.

Between my wife and me, we've been into this location 2 or 3 times in the last few months. The staff seem friendly enough and knowledgeable about the equipment that they carry. On my last visit, I had purchased a new phone through Verizon's online chat feature (but that's the topic for another review.) I carried in the phone, case, and screen protector for them to install in person and one of them helped me out, as well as assisting me to insure that all my stuff was transferred from one phone to the other. On the whole, I was pretty satisfied with everything... Until I got home and started using it... I then realized that, despite the representative meticulously cleaning and drying the screen - repeatedly - he managed to wind up with a sizable damp streak between it and the protector. Honestly that's the primary reason I docked them a star, even though I know that I could not have done any better (in fact, I'm pretty sure I would have done way worse.) The only other real issue I have is that they either didn't know or didn't think to tell me that the wireless Qi charger I bought to go with the phone might not work well through so tough a case. Truthfully, I assign most of that responsibility to the online assistant. So... Long story short (too late...) I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who currently uses Verizon or even thinks they might be interested in switching. Be aware, though, that (in my experience) there is no such thing as a "quick stop" at any of the Verizon stores and this one is no exception.
