The Fort Bend YMCA has a wide array of exercise classes to choose from. They have class hours in the morning and evening to fit most schedules. The instructors for these classes are Awesome!

Fort Bent Family YMCA is pretty cool. Lots of equipment to get a great quality, high volume workout in.

YMCA in Houston only hires certain target groups. If you aren't in their target market, you can forget about being hired despite your qualifications. They seem to be over priced for what you get too.

The YMCA has been there to help my 12 year old improve his basketball skills and give his young 2 year old brother valuable life skills by interacting with other toddlers his age.

Great community, accessible, friendly and approachable staff, plenty of equipments and classes. Great pool for lap swimming.

Rude people, and unprofessional. No regard for children's feelings, very inconsistent. Don't explain the program rules when you sign up, then change them last minute without warning.

I basically just workout at the gym and the circuit training machines. The machines I like are getting a bit long in the tooth, so would be good to consider some upgrades soon. Another gym I use has some Precor and Lifefitness machines that are similar but much smoother to operate. But I like to support the YMCA for all the youth programs they offer. As Board President of Fort Bend Family Promise I appreciate the collaboration with the local Y for guest family kids we help who are experiencing temporary homelessness or are housing insecure!

The aquatics programs for adults are really nice. There’s room for more programming, but the adults who participate (and the staff) are a friendly and welcoming group. The front desk people are always friendly and the facility is always clean. Kristin Baker is a fabulous Pilates and Yoga instructor! I’ve been attending her classes for years (10?). My parents really enjoyed their senior programs when they were here for a month-long visit. Will be nice to have those programs back in full once COVID restrictions are gone. Coffee in the lobby was always a big hit for them!

We selected this Y for swim lessons for my toddler and from the beginning it was a mess. The first week we had a different instructor each day, and it was very inconsistent. Two instructors didn’t know anything about the class, I don’t even think they were certified instructors. The second week we had one instructor, but due to my son getting a fever I didn’t take him (to avoid getting others sick). The policy for missing lessons is that if you don’t show up you don’t get to make it up UNLESS it’s for weather. I feel there should be at least one day allowed to make up if you’re sick. I would’ve rather spent more money on a private lesson somewhere else. If you’re just looking for somewhere to take your child to spend time outside this is a nice pool, just not the lessons.

Good weight room, good swim program, and good kids. I suggest they spend less money on things like a new electronic board out front and more paying their employees, who generally don't get much. I get that some adults are comfortable volunteering but when teenagers go the extra mile, they should be recognized for their contributions. I personally loved educating and taking care of the kids in the clubs and classes. I especially enjoyed the swim program until it got too cold to continue. I would recommend all families of any religion and culture bring their young men here to grow amidst a healthy environment. As much as I could complain, I have had so many happy memories here.
