I'm a bit of a DIY'er these days when it comes to fixing my car. Recently, I had an incident where my car died on me as I was driving. Turned out to be that my alternator went bad. I was able to get the car towed to my home to start working on repairs with a new alternator and battery purchased from a local auto parts store. After 193K+ miles on my 2010 Nissan Altima and honestly, I don't recall even replacing the alternator ever so it must have been time for it to go. Doing the repair wasn't a problem until I attempted to remove the bottom bracket bolt holding the alternator in place. It might be accurate to say that it was the original bracket bolt; maybe it wasn't and was way over torqued - I tell people that the bolt was born in place for being so hard to remove. In any case, it wasn't easy in the slightest. Every effort to get the bolt off failed. I tried and nearly stripped the bolt. I found a mechanic who came to my place and tried, but was pretty much useless and even after advising he would come back - he was a no show and on top of that stripped the bolt even worse. My friend and manager came by to help me out and all efforts were fruitless, with one exception - he recommended Piedmont Tire & Auto to me. He happened to visit Piedmont the following day and explained what it was that I needed, then called me and advised that as long as I could get the car to them, they would remove the bolt and I'd be able to complete replacing the alternator. The cost for removing the bracket bolt was very reasonable! Even with a busy holiday weekend, they came through for me and I was able to resume the repair; they even assisted me with a few things while I was working on the repair! I'm writing this post the evening after having finished the repairs on my car, from my home, which I was able to drive to in my repaired vehicle. I think I've found a new reliable repair shop! I recommend Piedmont Tire & Auto to anyone looking for a top-notch, friendly, reliable auto repair shop. These guys deliver on their word and get the job done, even when they involve hideously stripped bracket bolts that are near impossible to remove. Thanks gents and I'll be seeing you in a few for a set of new tires! Reviewers edit: I've been back since and got 4 new Michelin Defender tires from these guys. My car is riding right! Thanks again!

Thank you ASM- Kevin with the help to service my Tahoe. A little pricey but did a great job. Also his team fixed other things that weren’t working before. Definitely will return in the nearer future. Called a week ago about replacing 2 front tires due to a blowout, gave detailed information about the size and the NEED for Run Flats as I have no spare tire was told it would be there in a week. Waited a week showed up there this morning to be told they ordered the wrong tire and they proceeded to upsell me and have me wait another 4-5 days to be charged 200 more dollars. The person I dealt with today was nice however I will not be returning to this shop, if you call them have them read back all info SLOWLY so you can ensure they will order the right tire.

Kevin really went above and beyond tonight keeping my car on the road tonight. I had a flat on my left front and my right front tire has been having issues leaking air for the last couple weeks - I had them topped off at a tire shop in Front Royal (that was closing and didn't have a tech available) - my car made it to Marshall before the left front went completely flat. The issues weren't something that was fixable with a quick fix but I called at 7:30 and even though they were totally backed up Kevin said if I brought it in they'd take a look at it. Long story short - I got there at 7:45 and even though I held him there 30 min past closing him and his tech managed to pinpoint the issue with my left front and get my car road-worthy enough to get me home to the other side of PWC. Saved me hundreds in a tow bill. Good people are hard to come by in the automotive maintenance and repair industry so when you find one who places service to others before themselves you keep going back. If I ever have another issue on the western side of Prince William County Kevin and the crew at Piedmont will be my first call.

Needed a state inspection done, even though they were backed up they got me in and out within an hour and a half. Given the fact that every other place was talking at least 3 hours minimum and I was trying to get out of town on a road trip, that was fine by me. Great service, as well as the staff was very friendly and accommodating. A clean lobby as well as restroom makes it for a pleasant experience all the way around. One key point, there is very little parking around the establishment even though it has tons of parking spaces. Undoubtedly, because all of the cars that come there for service, the business has to have a place to stash them until it is their turn.

Paid $250 just to have my tires mounted and balanced. They were supposed to do an alignment as well but didn’t do it because apparently I had about $1700 worth of work that needed to be done before they could do it. They said I needed new ball joints (which were replaced 2 years ago) among a few other things so I took it to another shop and showed them the estimate and had them check everything out and they had no problem doing the alignment and found no other issues. The truck drivers perfectly fine now. Highly record Marshall automotive center over this place.

Kevin and the guys did a fantastic job with my van. They repaired my tire and complete a front brakes job with new rotors for under $400. Additionally, they took care of a check engine light that had been bugging me for 5mos following an alignment from another shop. They took care of it for me at no extra charge. I was pleasantly surprised. They also provided shuttle service which was a huge time saver. Great service, value, and team!

Went in early 8am Saturday morning for a safety inspection. They were seriously busy as expected. Dropped off my car and they shuttled me back home. Shuttle driver is kind and they also offered pick up too which I feel like most places don’t provide that. Took a few hours to get done but got my car back same day and that makes me happy.
