If I could have given zero stars I would have! The person at the Santa Maria lab this morning who was so rude and not interested in helping my 82 year old Mother with dementia. If people do not have empathy for others and a desire to give good patient care then they should NOT be in these types of positions. I have never encountered anyone in the medical field who was so unhelpful and down right nasty, she would not give me her name and when I asked to speak with the manager she said she was the manager. If you have loved ones that you care about, do not go to this lab!

My mother who is a 72 year old women just walked out crying telling me that an employee (women) that translated in Spanish for her was extremely rude. I'm wondering if there are any other patients that complain about her but cannot write reviews? This is so uncalled for and is not acceptable behavior from staff that instead should have patience. I truly hope the Manager of facility reads this and puts a stop to this behavior from that employee. Her job is to allow patients to leave with a good patient experience instead, now my Mother wonders if she did her job properly and is very nervous. She did mention other staff were not rude that she encountered.

This is not handicapped friendly. Doors are opened by pulling and there is no room for a wheelchair. The irony is that there is a wheelchair sticker on the door. This was a very slow lab. No one at the front to talk to or drop off a sample. Have to check-in via kiosk which half the people didn’t know how to use, and hope it worked and someone will text if you wait outdoors. I never received a text. The wait was ridiculously long. An hour just to drop off a sample and that’s only because I finally said something. My name was apparently never going to be called nor was I ever going to receive a text. Plethora of people coughing and one even removed his mask to cough. How do people not realize there is an airborne pandemic? This lab is too busy not to have someone up front.

Wow, what a night and day difference there was between this place and the place I first stopped at being new in the city. I had no idea what to expect after my bad experience elsewhere, but I drove up, entered the office and saw where people were spaced out appropriately and a touch screen being used to "begin" your logging in. Yes there was sanitizer available for me following use. Once you begin your "signing in" process you are offered the opportunity to complete your registration using the touch screen or having a link texted to your cell phone to complete the registration process sitting down inside, or outside in your car. I chose this option and it was a pretty simple process. There was a monitor available to tell you what your place was, how many people were ahead of you, and the approximate wait for each. I arrived a good 45 minutes following opening so there were a number of people ahead of me due to my starting elsewhere and leaving to find a better experience and boy did I. I was checked in, my insurance information taken quite expeditiously, and treated with great acre and professionalism by my technician (there were more than one in this office). Best of all, she took a lot of blood for all my tests and I hardly felt it at all. They have already emailed to ask about my experience and I can't wait to report back to them. My only minor complaints? The TV should have been in a position where all could see it to track progress, or better yet, another TV or two placed in alternate areas so all could track progress in their wait. And, I saw my name go from #4 in line to "next" in line, only to drop back to #3. But I quickly saw that this was because two people arrived and they had prior appointments. I never saw these people until they came directly inside and passed me on the way to the temperature check and insurance info take-in area. They simply made an appointment, waited in their car, then came in when it was their turn. I will do that next time, but no complaints this time as this was a better experience than anywhere else in the country where I have lived. Hats off to this very well-run lab center!

I tried to follow up with questions but was unable to reach anybody to help me. The phone menu was all dead ends and dropped my call during some transfers. Absolutely terrible service. My visit to the laboratory was nicer. The staff were efficient and friendly, however the instructions I was given were inconsistent with the paper instructions I was provided and while trying to figure out what to do I ran into the awful phone service, eventually unable to answer my questions.

My grandson needed his blood drawn. They needed to make sure what he had was chicken pox. He was turned away because the people there didn't know what they were doing what the protocol for having him separate from the regulars. I was very disappointed. I usually use quest for all my lab work but this is ridiculous.

Facility was immaculately clean and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The technician, Jennifer, was very professional and had me verify my personal information before she placed labels on the vials. Best of all, she was so good at drawing the blood, I didn't even feel the needle prick!
