Check list for those renting cars in Denver during winter for skiing in the nearby areas - 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive is a strong recommendation - Reserve early to avoid spring break shortages - Prices drop a bit ( that was a surprise!!) until the last month …. My initial reservation in Jan was close to $600 weekly for a full size but dropped to $390 in March. - Consider booking early but avoid prepay until you see a price that you like. Then call Avis to change the reservation to prepay. It will save you about $50. - Consider using Costco rentals for good deals or at least for price comparison - Check to see if you really need to be on toll roads ( hint: you probably don’t need the toll option as the locals don’t use it much either unless you go to downtown a lot). A weekly charge is about $60. Avis says without the option it is about $6.75 for each time you go on a toll road + the actual toll charge). So even if you go three times, you are saving about $30 by skipping the toll option - Check to see if you can get your insurance coverage through Amex- they have a special deal with Avis for $30 for the entire rental. Call Amex to confirm that you signed up for it - Consider renting locally rather than at the airport. Most importantly, don’t sweat it. You may end up paying $100-$200 more but enjoy your trip About the rental spot. Brandi is the owner-operator. She was very efficient and very helpful. She helped me go from a full size to an all-wheel drive very quickly. She got me a good rate for the Yukon and took off the toll tag option. The Yukon was surprisingly clean both inside and outside. (I am comparing it to the full size one that I got at the airport). The tank was full - the airport didn’t give me a full tank. There was an ice scrapper and brush … which my airport rental car didn’t have and I had to ask for one. I am probably going to rent from her the next time that I am in Denver. P.S. Make sure you look at the fish tank set up by Brandi’s son. It is quite unique with a variety of fish, amphibians, and snails.

An informal rental place, which is mostly a good thing, though I didn't get any documentation on returning the vehicle so I'm hoping there aren't extra charges or anything that they didn't tell me about. The process of checking out and in was quick. And the vehicle was great.

I rented a car for pickup and arrived at 12:45 pm today, Saturday. The posted hours both online and on the door are 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. When I arrived the store was closed and both I and the customer service representative I spoke with were unable to contact anybody at the store. I was unable to pick up my rented car and had to pay for an additional Uber after I had already paid for a ride to this Avis store. I am very disappointed and frustrated with my experience with this store.

BAD CARS, WORSE SERVICE! We have rented three times in the last 3 weeks from Avis and have had the worst experiences. Their slogan, "we pledge to keep you safe" is a joke! I rented an AWD SUV when my dad came to town which coincided with our last snowstorm. He had issues in our (unplowed) neighborhood with traction. When we measured the tires they were at 1/32, which is basically thread-bare. We promptly traded the car for another vehicle, however the car received was a small compact SUV and not what we paid for. We have not received a credit for the difference and customer service has not remedied the situation. A week later, we rented a Camry which came with the tire pressure monitor light on. Thinking the TPMS was a bi-product of the cold weather, we did not mention it. We figured out how to check the tire pressure on the car information menu and it read 21 PSI compared with the others at 39 PSI. When putting air in the tire we were able to see a screw in the tire. After contacting Avis' roadside assistance program, they arranged for us to pick up another vehicle the same day. Unfortunately, this is where things went way downhill. I went to trade in the car at a location off of W. Colfax in Lakewood and was told they were aware I was coming. They went to put me in a similar vehicle, however after doing the walkthrough, the front tires were bald. We went to another vehicle and the same thing. We finally settled on a different one, however when I went to drive away, the tire pressure light was on in that one too. I went back inside and he was pretended to be blown away. The tire pressure was at 15 PSI, the rest were on 39 PSI. The quality and safety of your vehicles is a complete joke and we will NEVER rent a car through you again or recommend you.

When I needed to rent a car, Avis made it a pleasant and seamless experience. The prices were affordable and the whole team was extraordinarily kind, professional, and helpful. Brandi is the best customer service expert that I have ever encountered and she does a great job running the show! I would not use a different location to rent a car for any reason. Great job guys! You take the hassle out of renting a car.

We rented a full size sedan and it was perfect! Really clean! The woman working inside I believe her name was Brandy! She was the MOST helpful and was super friendly! I forgot to fill up so I dashed off to get gas and she laughed with me about it and made me feel super comfortable! Thank you so much! She is the best and will be returning because of her!

Brandy is not only polite and professional, she is also very friendly. I got a better price on a better vehicle at a much lower price than I would have paid at the airport. She ensured that everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely contact Brandy in the future for more car rentals when I am in Denver.

I had an amazing experience renting from Brandy!! I live in Hawaii and I traveled to Colorado recently for a hiking trip and I was blown away by the excellent customer service she provided. Her prices are ridiculously low compared to renting from airport vendors--TOTALLY worth the short uber ride out to her location. I would have paid double what I ended up paying for my rental from Brandy. And to top it off, she upgraded me to a luxury vehicle for no extra charge simply because it was available. As a fellow business owner, I know how much effort goes into running a service based business and Brandy goes above and beyond in delivering an excellent experience. I would highly recommend her as your go-to car rental vendor when traveling to Colorado. I'll be back, Brandy! Mahalo

We picked up our SUV on 6/19/2021. Very professional at the counter. Brandy explained everything we needed to know. The vehicle was spotless which I have found to be an exception. I’ve rented plenty of vehicles and this was by far the cleanest one of all. We will definitely be renting from this Avis location again. Thanks Brandy!
