We had to get a loaner (rental) car while our insurance claim was being sorted out. Not the best situation, since we really had no choice, but I want to compliment the staff here for really being awesome and understanding and displaying such customer service. 10/10 and if/when we need to rent a car again, we will absolutely be back here. We definitely won't be using Budget again in the future. You can't reach any budget rental location, nationwide. You can call, but you get a menu and the prompts will either transfer you to the corporate call center or it will transfer to "call cannot be completed as dialed". Budget locations across the country are all either extremely understaffed (leading to a delay in picking up the vehicle that you've already paid for), or they're so overstaffed that the employees sit around in a group smoking out in front of the store. We dropped a vehicle off at 7:45AM, and there were no customers (and a group of employees smoking in front of the store). Our return time was scheduled for 8:30 AM. At 9:37 AM we got a notification that they had processed our return, and because the vehicle got checked in after 8:30 we would be charged for a whole additional day. Went back to the store at 10:45AM to see what was up, and the same group of employees from our 7:45AM visit was still smoking right in front of the entrance door. Liz was very unhelpful (she even tried to add an additional fee while I was talking to her trying to resolve their erroneous first fee) , and her manager Adam might as well not exist. There's no way for you to reach Adam about a problem, because (as I mentioned earlier) the phones for every budget rental location nationwide don't even work. Like I'm not just saying that you can't reach a manager in the event that you need to...I'm saying that you can't even reach a Liz because the phones for every budget location nationwide don't even work lol However, if you're lucky, you can reach Lucero from the call center, and she'll tell you that she'll fix it. Also Lucero is a rad name. Update: It's been a couple of days, and not only did they NOT take the erroneous extra day fee off, but they actually jacked up the erroneous extra day fee to be even higher. Called the call center to resolve (actually called the store, but it routed us to the call center because of the afforementioned phone system) and the call center rep abruptly put us on hold without warning, before leaving us on hold for 22 minutes. (He eventually just transferred us back into the main menu prompts).

Pickup clean safe car had all the features i needed to make my rental experience memorable. Adam help with some fun things to do like unser kart and hiking ideas. Also inform me to how easy check in will be in and out and a email receipt.

When I arrived, at the scheduled time and with confirmation, there was not a car for me. I was told it is common to not have a vehicle as booked. I was also told that the office could not process a refund. I was expected to find another car and put $ out twice until refunded. I have rented from this site at least 4 times. It's near my home and convenient. It is combined with AVIS and I typically get an AVIS car. Based on this latest experience, I will not rent from Budget. The representative was apologetic and sorry he could not assist me. At the last minute he realized there was a passenger van on site that he was told he could rent. It needed an oil change and was filthy, but we needed to get on the road and took it. We were thankful to have a car that gave us the room we needed.
