Total rip off. I bought a hotel/reantal car package from priceline. Paid for it up front. When I went to pick up the rental car, was charged an addictonal 286. In total 486 including deposit...Had to have the car so I paid it.. Then was ask if I wanted the car insurance.. I did say yes...after my trip was completed, I questioned priceline who then looked into my addictional charges. I was told I would recieve no refund because I purchased the insurance....I did get my deposit back but I don't pay that much insurance no my own car a month, why would it cost 286.00 for a two day trip...don't use Hertz or Dollar.. one in the same.

It was a terrible experience! I booked through Priceline and due to information they don't disclose upon payment I was never able to rent/use the car. The only positive is that I got a refund.

worst place I've ever dealt with , I rented a vehicle from them last month with debit card only for them to cancel it because I didn't have a credit card to put on file when I go to pick up the rental. They said they'd give a refund and speaking with five different people and told 7 to 10 days I'm still waiting on my refund. worst experience ever.

If i could give ZERO stars i absolutely would. I will never rent from them again. First off they charged me $201 for a 2 day rental. That was fine. When i asked to extend it for a day they told me it would be an additional $150. I was not ok with the $150 for an extra day but circumstances at the time left me no choice. However once i returned the vehicle literally 38 minutes past the scheduled time they charged my card $871 and some change. Saying it was a late fee applied, failure to call and extend rental, and some other made up fees that i can’t really remember... after speaking to the manager Emily, who refused to give me her last name, i was so livid because she told me the representative i had spoke to the day before was in an Oklahoma reservation center and they had no way of contacting that call center to confirm what i was telling them. She said it was the best rate available. Basically i had to pay or else. Now, do the math...$201 for the pick up. $200 holder on my card for deposit. And $871 charge once returned. I had the vehicle from March 6 9:30am until March 10 5:02pm...FOUR days...they told me it was considered a weeks rental. So that’s literally $1271 for 4 days because i have yet to receive a deposit back. I will NEVER rent from here again. I should have known better to rent from a company that’s filed bankruptcy. Lesson learned!!!

I will never use them again. I reserved a car for 3 days and when I arrived the lady realized that my license had expired. Due to everything that is going on right now I apologized because I hadn't even noticed and she was very nice about it. Then I realized they charged me the whole rate for a car I never got. I would understand a cancellation fee but not the entire fee. I'm done with them

Terrible company. They are thieves! Last week I returned my car to the Corpus Christi airport and accidentally locked my brand new iPad Pro in the vehicle. I had already dropped the key in the lock box when I realized and there were absolutely no rental car employees there to open it for me. I called and I was told I had to fill out a lost and found form online. I went back out to the vehicle and took a video of my iPad sitting on the front seat in the locked car and the license plate number. They refused to notify the employees at that location that the iPad was on the front seat. I’m assuming I will never see the iPad again and that one of their thief employees took it and pawned it most likely. The video is still on my phone if someone from the dollar would like to contact me. By the way Hertz owns this company.

If I could give a negative review they would get it! First off I rented a car for the weekend and and was charged $292.99. I called and extended the rental for one day which was a Monday and they charged my card another 571.89 and I still have not recieved my security deposit of 435. So do the math for a 4 day rental I paid over 1100 so yeah if you value you hard earned money do not do business with these people. When I called them they said that was the best available rate for a Monday 571.89. For a days rental not including the security deposit and there wasn’t anything they could do and they could not return my money. What about the security deposit? What a joke

I had a toll. 1st mail states that you need to pay 39 dollars ( administration fee included) and “ YOU CAN IGNORE THIS AND WE WILL CHARGE YOU AUTOMATICALLY” After another 2 weeks, I got this bill below!!!! They charge for “ LATE FEE”. Do not trust them saying they will charge automatically. They will only charge more!!! The agreement is not fair at all!!!!!!! Never will go back to Dollar any more. Dollar has the highest fee in whole rental car industry. Also The fuel tank was not full too. But the representative does not know it at all. And I have to drive back to show them!!! Worst car rental experience ever.

Booked rental through Hotwire for $40 for two days. The car was available at arrival, clean, and had no noticeable issues. The gentleman behind the counter was not pushy and had us on our way in a couple minutes. The final bill matched exactly what I had pre-paid through Hotwire and I had no issues with re-fueling charges. I simply refueled on my way to return it and left the receipt in the vehicle. I think the people who have given this particular Dollar negative reviews have never rented a car in their life and were unaware of how the process works.

We will NEVER rent a car from Dollar again. My car was in the shop so we needed a rental for ONE day. Dollar had the best rates. We were supposed to get a Nissan Altima or similar. They upgraded us to a Chrysler 300. Very nice car. My husband drove the rental to Frankfort to work and back and saved the mileage on his car. We picked my car up after work at Ken Towery, dropped his off for an oil change & tire rotation at Tire Discounters because it's still under warranty there and had to have the rental back to the airport by 6:30. In the chaos of trying to get everywhere we needed to be we forgot to fill the rental up with gas. He used less than a quarter of a tank of gas. We got it back to the airport where they ESTIMATED how much gas he used. He drove it 107 miles. They charged us $9.99 PER GALLON!!! The car only cost us $53.00, but the gas cost us an additional $59.39!!! One day rental was a total of $120.15. They estimated he used 6 gallons of gas. That would make that car only get 17 miles to the gallon. I drive a FULL SIZE SUV and get better gas mileage than that in the CITY! I can totally understand needing to replenish the gas we used, but $9.99 PER GALLON is a bit extreme! Never again!
