19 Best bank in Atlanta, Georgia (GA) 2024

Came to this location for a time sensitive wire transfer, which would have taken 15min max. The banker brushed me off and said they were appointment only. While I understand these are unprecedented times, she could have easily offered me an estimated wait time so I was empowered to make a decision from there given “appointment only” was not previously known to me until I actually made a trip there (would have happily waited as well). They are seemingly “nice” but somewhat disingenuous, just kept recommending I book an appointment online and make another trip back. In essence, if it’s an urgent matter, it’s your problem not theirs. I went down the street to another location and the branch manager there helped me with the transfer, in and out within 10min. ~Trace

Ok, I know everyone is having their issues with Truist Bank's recent merger and I know the employees are just screaming and I am feeling everyone's pain as well. However, I have to give an awesome shout out of appreciation to Travis Franklin and David (did not get his last name) at BBT Truist Bank, 855 Peachtree location. The professionalism, and customer service was AMAZING! Mr. Franklin, understood my issue and kept me update as to what was going on, and David also helped with emailing the proper channels to help the issue get resolved. Sometimes, patience and just having the right spirit, can help make any situation less tense. With that said, I know "we" the "public" can be less understanding when something goes wrong, and want it corrected asap. Just remember being respectful and kind to those that are helping "we" the "public" will get you further then coming in yelling and being disrespectful at those that are providing us with customer service. So, if you get a chance swing by 855 Peachtree BBT - Trusit, and ask for Mr. Franklin and David and tell them "keep up the awesome job" your valued and appreciated! ~Briana

I tried to call to verify some information for my account and was placed on hold for about 10 minutes. I didn’t even get to speak with a representative because they hung up on me while I was on hold. I really hope they get it together if not I will be closing my account and picking a different bank. ~Faith

Severely understaffed. The poor employees can’t even answer the phone when you call…because they don’t have enough staff. I wanted to exchange for some euros for our trip to Europe this summer. The banker lied about how quickly they could order them. Ended up not making it before we left. ~Jim

Buying a car through the Atlanta Postal Credit Union was the smoothest process I ever experienced. I applied for the loan online. My loan representative was great. Her name was Helen. She paired with a car finder named Brent. Brent was attentive to my needs and found the perfect car with everything I asked for within my budget. The process took about four days. My new car was delivered to my job. I highly recommend anyone use them when it’s time to get a new car. Special thanks to Helen and Brent for making this a wonderful experience. ~Candice

RUN WITH YOUR MONEY! This is by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with. They are extremely slow and never have change for business accounts. They don't make it a priority to complete transactions in a timely manner including night drops, branch manager is no help he let's the tellers tell him what they are going to do instead of enforcing speedy and good customer service no wonder they have a 2 star rating ~V.

Worst bank I have ever been to. I get it, some locations may be understaffed, but I waited thirty-five minutes in the lobby and still did not get serviced. I had to leave in order to handle other affairs since the one banker on duty in THE ENTIRE BUILDING was busy with the three people in front of me. I would just go to another location altogether, they obviously don’t know what good customer retention can do.. YOUR LOSS! ~Misty

I’ve never been in a Suntrust building that was so useless. They never know what’s going on or what to do. The workers never have the same answers. They only ever have one person working at a time, even when the line is long. They wait for the line to be extremely long before they put more people out to help. I went inside the building twice in two days for a simple money transfer between separate accounts. I had to go in twice for them to give me the right information. It also took them 30 minutes to actually help me. There is only one useful employee and the rest of them are truly incompetent ~Tori

Today I went to this branch of Wellsfargo to pay my rent. While I myself did not have poor customer service I witnessed something that upset me very much. There was a man who smelled very strongly of urine waiting to deposit a check. The teller who was assisting him was having a hard time locating the man's account, and when he asked for assistance none of the other tellers wanted to help (I'm assuming because of his smell). I then heard and saw the teller who was working the business register blatantly say "I'm gonna throw up, I don't want to." Now, while I understand that his smell was offensive, for someone to say something like that IN FRONT of the customer I feel that's inconsiderate and very embarrassing for the man. ~whitney
