If only it was possible to give negative stars... Had an awful experience with the store and employee here. I was trying to purchase a VA lottery scratch ticket from the machine and it accepted my $30 in cash, but an error message popped up and used the credit but did not give me a physical ticket. So naturally, I tried to receive help from the employee. She was extremely dismissive from the beginning, stating that there was nothing she could do to help because there isn't a key to open it and that I had to call the number on the machine. She also said that the specific machine I used tends to do that (?). If that machine has a history of malfunctioning, please put a SIGN on it stating that so people don't use it! I asked for the cvs store number as an identifier for when I needed help and she told me okay but did not provide it. I left the store to call the number and they weren't of much assistance. Which makes sense, how are they supposed to return my cash to me over the phone?? I returned to tell her that and she accused me immediately of lying (that I didn't call the number, when I literally had proof in my call history that I did). She gave a lot of attitude and called the number herself and had the situation resolved within minutes after speaking with someone. She also kept rolling her eyes at me throughout the interaction, which I found extremely disrespectful and refused to give her name or to allow us to speak with another employee or manager. I got my cash back which is great, but I don't understand why she couldn't just help before I was forced to go all karen. I hate confrontation so this whole situation felt icky... Anyway, customer service here is an absolute joke. ~Ji

CVS

The Minute Clinic workers here are great! I came here to get tested for COVID and Bostick L was the bomb. She was very professional and efficient, and did extra tests to rule other things out when I came in with a sore throat and some other weird symptoms. This was my first time getting tested at a clinic and it was a great experience. Both my tests came out negative thankfully; my one reservation (COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the great personnel here, just the CVS facility itself) is just that the waiting area is a bit “open”. There’s not a lot of space. I found myself waiting to get tested with other customers who weren’t sick, just coming in to get their normal booster shots (which were given in a different area, not the exam room, altho the waiting area was the same)—and a substantial portion of them were elderly. So I ended up loitering further away in a random empty aisle to try to social distance until my name was called (which took maybe 20min). If you guys genuinely feel sick, it might be better to look elsewhere to get tested where they have a special quarantined entrance (or maybe drive through testing? idk), because I felt uncomfortable with how I could’ve exposed other potentially high-risk people to Covid. (I’m boosted so the risk is lower, but still.) And of course, the opposite is true: you might be exposed to Covid if you’re waiting to be served at this clinic, although that’s not exactly a risk unique to this location. Inside the small exam rooms they do have industrial grade air purifiers running, so I didn’t feel paranoid that I was walking into a room with like stagnant covid air after the previous person left lol. I’d recommend this location, and both me and a friend like the people who work here! but if you’re not a regular or are just looking to get tested, this is a heads up on the layout and potential risks. On the plus side, most customers I saw during my visit were masked and all providers were masked ~dia

CVS

Stopped at this CVS for a passport photo. I was able to be seen immediately and had a passport photo in a few minutes. Even showed it to me before printing to make sure I approved; I’m bald so no picture is going to change that although the gesture was appreciated. Did not use the pharmacy so I cannot comment on those services. ~Gabriel

CVS

This CVS opened up about 3-4 years ago, and although it is not a 24 hour store, it has decent hours. The most appealing factor about this location is that it is fairly well-maintained and clean - pharmacies should be clean. This is compared to the CVS in Annandale, which struggles to keep it even a little dirty. ~Eugene

Walgreens

This pharmacy was bad before but, since this has become Walgreens every prescription I have is messed up. Every refill is a problem. I am on auto refill with them and that never happens. They mess up a refill and I complain and then I get spammed with calls, texts, and emails for the next one. Not being opened on any day on the weekend is an issue too since my GP is opened on Saturday. Moving my prescriptions, as soon as, they manage to fix this last refill. I have one pill left and they have done nothing with the refill situation. ~Robyn

Walgreens

Don't usually shop at Walgreens. I do appreciate their serving as a provider of COVID vaccine doses and boosters. Their website for making a COVID vaccine appointment could use some improvement. It doesn't work properly with Google Chrome and filling out the consent form in advance does little good since the Pharmacy starts over when you arrive. ~David
