Nice clean office however, can not keep Providers. They change Dr's or FNP every month (seems like) you will never see your assigned Provider. Please, whatever you do...... Do not schedule an appt with Tara Harris FNP. She teaches part time and she does not care about the health of her patient's she only wants to teach. when you have bloodwork done or xray's you will never revd a call back regarding your results. Ofcourse, the good Drs are no longer accepting patients. Don't waste your time with this office. You need someone who cares about health and wellbeing and this office is not the one that put patient's health first. Please research Tara Harris, she has worked at several offices in the area. she can't keep a job from Dr shelley west office in zebulon, Dr Ronald Intini office in wendell just to name a few. Stay away.

So... This is the review I promised them I would write. I'm done with this practice for a few reasons. First, I'm being over-charged. I went in for a follow-up visit, which I had to wait weeks because they are just too busy, then I got the bill. They charged by the minute! I went in and had my blood pressure taken and spoke to the nurse practitioner (who is great). I waited in the room for about 10 minutes for her after the assistant took my blood pressure. She was "enthralled" with my job and asked a lot of questions about it, then I spoke with the nurse practitioner for maybe 3 minutes. I was charged for a 25 minute visit which actually exceeded the total amount of time I was even on property! So, I guess I was charged for being in the waiting room too. My bill was about $200 for having my blood pressure taken with this followup visit. That's over $400/HR! And, their padding the times. Are they doing this to the insurance companies also? I disputed the charges, but it's nearly impossible to get in touch with somebody there, not to mention that the billing is outsourced. That's the second point I wanted to make. The communication is less than acceptable. I'm out $200, but maybe a hit on their reputation was worth it. I do not recommend this practice.

I have been coming here for awhile now, seeing Dr. Melo, and I love it! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and Dr. Melo is great. He is funny and makes a visit to the doctor feel much more comfortable. If you have something you are concerned about or want to talk about, he will talk to you about what he thinks and find a great specialist if you need one! If he has to write you prescription, he will make sure he gets the version best covered by your insurance. Overall, this place is wonderful. I highly recommend it!

I'm giving them a 5 because over the many years and most recently over the course of many knee related health issues doctor Adams has been a fantastic person. His history and reputation speak volumes. The one thing that it getting sadly tough is as he begining to phase down to enjoy life as he nears retirement it leaves a patient hanging waiting to see him. It sadly takes over a month to get in to see him most times and when you need to see a doctor you need to see them now not 30 days from now. That is tough, I know there are other providers there but when someone is your doctor then that is who you have built your trust in then that is who you want to see. There just isn't an excuse to me valid enough that when you have ongoing medical issues ( surgical and infections), that they can't fit you in over healthy visit's scheduled or simply work you in. With that said I will continue to see Dr. Adams until he retires then find a different practice where I trust the doctor as well as I have Dr Adams.

I was initially pleased when I went for my annual physical a few months ago. Everyone was friendly and very thorough. I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time. Fast forward to this week, and I have a bad upper respiratory infection and an asthma flare and need another rx for my asthma inhaler. I called and they said it would be 8 hours before I could be seen. So I went to urgent care instead and got treatment. Understandable, but frustrating that I couldn't get in to be seen any sooner. I called this morning, 4 days later, because I have developed pink eye. They informed me they don't see pregnant patients. My OB won't see me in the office for contagious things, understandably, to protect other pregnant patients. I am shocked Knightdale Family Medicine won't see me for a simple pink eye infection because of my pregnancy and I was never informed of this policy at my previous visit. I need a primary care who I can rely on to see me when its needed the most, and they have repeatedly turned me away. Unfortunately, I can't trust them again and won't be back.

I'm not sure if they have a color problem or what but I'm not interested in a practice that acts like they do. I had an appointment today and as I arrived, I waited behind the line for the next receptionist. Even though no one was in line, I can follow directions and just because no one was in front of me doesn't mean they were ready to take me so I understood but to be waiting for more than 3 minutes while the two receptionists carry on a conversation as if I'm not there is unacceptable. They saw me but kept carrying on until they were ready to end it and I didn't appreciate it. After I got my paperwork to fill out, I noticed another person of the same skin tone come up and she was greeted right away as well another person so maybe I'm wrong but either or, there's too many practices out there than one I won't be treated like I don't matter so I left. As I stated, I may be wrong but maybe they need a lesson in how to treat people

I've been with Dr Adams now for a few years and I've gotta say, he is by far the best doctor I've had in my adult years. Most doctors I see lately always seem to be running from room to room, under pressure to see as many patients as possible in the shortest time possible. They rush in, poke and prod a few times, write a script, and move on to the next..........pretty much assembly line health care. Dr Adams is different. He's personable and friendly. I don't know if he actually remembers all his patient's names, but at minimum he takes a moment before coming in the room to look at the chart and get your name (I have a suspicion he does actually remember many names). Dr Adams actually seems to care about his patients. He takes time to talk to them. He LISTENS to them and proves he's listening by asking questions back. Most importantly, he could be the busiest person on the planet but he would never, EVER seem to be in a hurry! He always takes the time to sit back, put down his pen, stop typing on his laptop, look me in the eyes, and have a discussion. Even better, the man is SMART! He definitely knows what he's doing! It's plainly obvious he is passionate about what he's doing. It would be tragic not to mention the staff at Knightdale Family Medicine as well! The employees at the desks always have a smile for you and they're unfailingly polite. The nurses all seem to be very happy and are personable and (as one other review mentioned) they have a great sense of humor. Even the phlebotomists are fabulous (and very gentle). I've had a ton of horrible doctors (one even wrote up an entire exercise routine for me........didn't bother to look at my chart that shows regular exercise is pretty much impossible for me!). I've had very few good doctors and, in my opinion, Knightdale Family Medicine and Dr Adams is at the top. By a pretty big margin, too.

Bob Adams has been my personal physician or in the 10 years, He's a good communicator who stays on top of recent developments in medicine. I particularly appreciate now he has even changed his views on certain health care issues as more information has become available over the course of time. I like a doctor who hasn't forgotten how to learn.

Great experience! My first time here, and it was great! Super friendly and efficient staff, and Dr. Adams is awesome. I would recommend this practice to anyone. If you currently go to Knightdale Family Practice then you need to switch IMMEDIATELY for the sake of your own health and welfare. Hope this review helps!
