I brought my car to him after it was making a horrible noise after a service at the dealership, he efficiently found the issue and fixed it completely. Phil's services were affordable and it was clear he is an honest, fair mechanic--which can be hard to find. I will be getting my car serviced by him only from now on. Came to this garage for a water pump swap. It was leaking from the weep hole and the car was at 100k. So, water pump. He said he was very busy and could get to it a week. So, I called a little later and set an appointment for the following Monday and he said he would have an estimate by then. When I got there, a week later, he asked me to drop it off and he'd call with the estimate later. (I thought he'd have one when I arrived but, didn't. okay fine.) Then asking if I had seen the normal cost for this procedure and I said, I had. When he called later he stated it would be up to double the going rate. Saying if he was going in there he would replace everything and charge me for it. Feigning it was the correct way to do it. (I could have bought a new crate engine at this price. Also, because he knew, I was aware of the going cost and what he estimated at double, what I assume he said between the lines was: "If I'm going to do this, I'm going to really get paid for it"). Fine, his garage. So, I said, that was too rich for my blood, and I'd come and pick up the car. (After I waited a week for him to look at it). My fault, no problem there. When I picked it up, he charged me ~ $50 to tell me, what I told him: "It needed a water pump". I'm not going to say, he wasn't a nice guy or it was a shady establishment but, don't expect 4.8 star review service, because you might not get that experience. Service: Auto water leak repair

Very very kind people! The customer service cannot be beat! Not only were they able to special order parts to fix my car but they were able to do so quickly and the price was actually rather reasonable! Will be taking my car there for future needs. Highly highly recommend for anyone's car needs! Once again this place has amazed me!!!! I’m serious if you need a place that will provide mind blowing customer service and very very reasonable prices, this is your place!!!!!

Wonderful people that are honest and good. I had a belt that broke in a middle of a trip to Raleigh, and they fit me into their busy schedule to help me get back on the road as soon as possible. If I lived in Mebane Shuler Automotive would be my go to for mechanic work.

I was recommended to Shuler Automotive by a friend and it turned out to be a great experience. Phil is extremely knowledgeable about car repair and kept me posted daily on the repair status and cost of the repairs. I was told by another car repair shop that nothing could be done to repair the engine of my car and I would need to purchase a new engine. I went to Shuler Automotive for a second opinion before dropping 4-5 thousand on a new engine. Phil worked diligently to diagnose the issues and repair them and ended up saving me about 3 thousand dollars. These folks are honest and resonably priced. From this day forward, I will use Shuler for all my vehicles repairs. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone that lives in the area.
