I came to customer service to do a return of some gym equipment that my husband bought. Monica was so fast and nicely conversation with me while doing the transaction of return, I got it done really quickly with her help. After I ask her where I could find exactly what my husband was supposed to buy me she call Dee which he came really quickly to come assist me. In less than five minutes I got my refund and the manager D helped me find what I was looking for and I was out. Amazing in five minutes I got everything done I couldn’t believe it how helpful people are in this location! Definitely more than five stars

I called customer service and a person named Monica answered. Just by the sound of her voice happily doing her job and speaking to me telling me every details that I needed for me to come and purchase what I was looking for! When I got there the manager by the name of Dee received me and asked me how he can help me. I told him that I spoke with Monica about certain products she directly to me to get the product and was explaining the details of it and if I needed anything else related to it or maybe pick something else that best fit in what I needed. Honestly these two people Monica and the manager Dee Make a huge difference on customer service and make my visit so easily and happy I will definitely come back to this location being so many in Fort Worth I don’t mind coming to this one even though it’s a little further than the other ones

I am very amazed on how helpful everyone is at this specific location. I always go to the Academy back in Waxahachie. They are helpful but it doesn’t compare on how helpful they are here in this location!!! Dee The manager saw me having trouble finding a Sports clothes for my wife and she took me almost by the hand and helped me with everything, my wife just had a baby so she was looking for something specific and the manager Dee help me to pick the perfect ones that she is specifically told me to get!! At the checkout Monica was also very helpful by telling me all about the new specials coming up and was very happy and smiling and cheerful she transmitted a beautiful vibe. I will definitely come back to this location without worrying about the almost 1 Hour Drive from home. It was worth it

I really wish all managers were like Dee and customer service agents like Monica. I told Dee my daughter was into bow and arrows and was looking for something for her age and safe of course. She helped me pick the one most appropriate for my daughter which really took us about 30 minutes what other manager have you ever seen or heard to be so helpful towards customers. My respect for him and best wishes.

The worst Academy experience I ever had, and I've had a bunch. They only had 3 checkout lines working and slow lines on each. When I finally made it to the front, my item rang up for $7 more than what was posted and what is on their website. The cashier was going to have someone check, but knowing that would take a while I offered to go take a photo. When I got back she was checking out a family with a lot of stuff. I had to wait all over again. She finally asked someone at customer service to check me out. What should have been a quick in and out purchase turned into a lot of waiting and helping them fix their problem.

I have small feet for a man. I was disappointed to find only two brands carried with my size available. Out of all the hundreds of shoe choices I was limited to a choice between just 2 boxes. Will have to do my sport shoe shopping elsewhere. 😡

As I was walking in the door to this Academy two employees were walking in as well. I stopped one of them and asked where I would find the free weights. Without hesitation he said "they are right over here." And then he walked me right to their nice selection of weights. Could not have been better. I chose the weights I wanted, stood in a short line, checked out, and was on my way within 10 minutes, total time. That is a great retail experience. Tell your guys in Fort Worth off Bryant Irving they did a good job Ken Hicks.

The Academy chain is in general pretty excellent. This store was as good as any of them. Staff were helpful and friendly, checkout line reasonably quick. What I like about the in person experience v online is I can try things on to make sure they fit. So A+ on that.

We went here today and bought two pairs of shoes, the young guy working in the shoe department didn’t even acknowledge us and seemed irritated when we asked for help getting a box from up high then he climbs up the shelf and boxes were falling onto the ground, the shelves were shaking he hands them to me and says “here!” Even though he was working right there putting shoes up the whole time we were there. The only person who was nice or smiled was the cashier on the way out. We were there at 1:00pm today spent $310.00 on two pairs of shoes and the employees were so rude except cashier. Store was a mess. We liked the shoes though.
