Above average hardware store experience! They had free popcorn and coffee, a very stocked and well maintained store, the staff was friendly and helpful, the restrooms we super clean, and, ladies, they have hooks on the carts for your purse.

The customer service was great fast and through ,and friendly ,and courteous and the establishment was clean ,they offered mask and sanitizer when walking in they had mask setting on the front desk when you walk in. The over all experience was very pleasant .

On 2 different occasion's I have visited your store the 1st time I was shopping for paint and there were 2 employees and no other customers in the store the to employees did absolutely nothing to help me and just set behind the paint counter talking. The 2nd occasion I was shopping for bolts And could not find what I wanted I could not get any help and finely a girl came over and asked if everything was OK and I said no that I was attempting to find a specific bolt she was of no assistance at all and I left the store as the 1st time I have made no purchases there due to the lack of help lack of the assistance and inability to find what I was looking for.

I had always heard that McCoy's Building Materials would go out of their way to assist and make a customer experience memorable in all the right ways! I got to experience that firsthand today, I pulled into a McCoys in Terrell next to one of the major big box stores which I went to First and unable to get any real assistance left. I stopped at McCoy's to see if they had any scrap material, I needed to block a load in my truck I asked one of the ladies at the counter who got one of the yard guys to help me told him what I was doing and he said to follow him on back into the yard. He found a piece cut it and gave it to me, I asked how much I owe prepared to pay for the material. The young man said that'll be no charge, I was surprised and grateful and told him so, he said just come on back we'll help you any way we can. That's a level of customer service that is truly hard to come by these days. I will remember this store for their hospitality and willingness to go above and beyond....01.19.19 saturday
