Out of the way of the main shopping area and bit ghetto, but received helpful service from an older worker named Mo for a part that was not available at half a dozen stores nearby me. I was surprised by the young age of the other workers - they were pretty useless. There was also an older Spanish-speaker male worker outside helping a woman with her car, and he seemed very helpful and engaged with her car problem. Overall neutral/fine trip, so 5-stars. Hopefully I won't have to be back in Dale City again!

I came in for a persistent problem with a battery that I purchased back in January. I've came into the store several times and received no resolution to my car battery consistently dying. My mechanic thoroughly checked my car several times and said there's nothing wrong with my car that it's the battery. Na-jhaun was extremely helpful and quickly resolved this headache of a problem.

Great / terrific service. I had my windshield blades replaced in just a few minutes. Employees were so very helpful. I will definitely be back to buy all of my auto parts at this location .

I had really bad experience at this store today, (March 22, 2022) especially the assistant manager (Jose) behavior, he was very unprofessional and very rude. Threatened to call cops on me even though I have not done anything wrong , I simply wanted to exchange a battery that we bought like a month ago. Anyways I won't shop from advance auto parts anymore.

It's a nice store, you're standard auto parts store. The reason for 4 stars is when I went my check engine light was on and I asked if they could read the code for me. The guy behind the register said the system was down. Also it's annoying to get to. It's not in a great location. On the other side of a Wendy's. In a parking lot that really only has one exit that has a light.

Dom and his team deliver excellent and professional customer service. All were attentive and helpful to me to find the right parts. They kindly offered advice and help when I’ve needed it. This is a well-run store and all the employees seem to have the same helpful attention and great attitude — consistent qualities hard to find in retail today. 5-stars!!

Picked up a UPS order. It's very convenient. Unfortunately the staff always has trouble handling UPS packages. Keeping forgetting how to log in so I can sign for my package. Short wait giving me time to shop for my car. Done on purpose? Always spend money I didn't plan on.

I bought a part online for in-store pick up at the store in Manassas because no store in my area had the part. When I tried the part, the part did not fit my vehicle. I called the store where I got the part from for a solution and they told me that rather then me drive 30+ minutes to the store, I could take the part to any store and they would gladly issue a refund and I would be able to order the correct part there since it was not in stock. I decided to take the part to the Advance Auto in Dale City which is a few minutes from my home on the same day that the part was bought and only about two hours of having the part in my possession. I was explaining why I was returning the part to the cashier when along comes the manager, Mo, who starts to examine the part very intensely. I couldn't figure out why he was so invested in looking so hard at the part since it was a simple return and the error was made on their part. He then said he could not take the part back. I asked why not if I had a receipt and the part was not a fit. He went on to say that it was because his store would not absorb the loss and said that I needed to take it back to the store where I bought it from. I told him that the store was far and that I was told that I could take it to any store. I asked him to focus on customer service rather than his loss that he kept repeating. I explained that his store is part of a chain that draws from the same well and that it shouldn't matter what bucket the water was coming from. He was very determined about his numbers and even admitted to knowing that I was issued a bad part but that he would not take the loss. He went as far as saying that I was issued a used part at the other store and falsely claimed natural manufacturing marks on the plastic as proof. My humble opinion is that because I am Hispanic and there is a large non-English speaking community that Mo's store serves, he felt that I was just another Hispanic problem for him that he could easily dismiss without a care for customer service and without regard for his company's policies. I have a strong suspicion that if I were a white shopper Mo would have issued the refund without hesitation. I am a firm believer in customer service and spend my money where I receive good customer service. This experience will definitely affect what store I get my parts from. Luckily, this is not the only parts store in the area. I was able to return the part and receive my refund at another store where it literally took them two minutes to complete the transaction. Managers like Mo should be demoted or retrained on customer service.

When you order online, sometimes the website isn't accurate and the part doesn't actually fit your car. At this store Mohsin Q. immediately started arguing with me about returning the part and had a bad attitude. I didn't want a fight, I would've just been happy with a refund because the part cannot be used but he didn't provide good service at all. He barely even let me get a word in to explain why I needed a refund.
