I came here for a COVID Booster and the Tech, Jonathan, at the front was helpful with getting me set up. Dr. Sherwin, gave me the shot, no pain at all and he was super friendly. Great experience for me here

Worse CVS Customer Service always at this store. They don't know how to load receipt paper so the registers were giving blank paper. Larry is the only employee in the whole store that can print you a receipt. I made him aware that I needed my receipt reprinted because I bought some gift cards, but he was in no hurry to help me. Even though there were 4 other employees that could help customers, he did anything and everything to make me wait excessively long. After 20 minutes, I gave up and left. I will drive longer to go to another CVS. This store needs to be retrained because they are making customers go to Walgreens. Larry and his team don't even deserve 1 star. With all these bad reviews, you think the district manager might step in and do his/her job!!!

I swear I always have the worst luck at this CVS. Every time I try to get a prescription filled I am met with the rudest people at the pharmacy counter. I’m not sure why these employees have such bad manners it’s ridiculous. (Does not pertain to the actual pharmacists they have always been quite helpful)

I went to Clairemont after worst experience in Balboa. Ms. Kaitlyn was amazing she really understands my question and try to me understand with patience. Also she has Knowledgeable and kind with smile. I hope she work there all the time. Thank you Kaitlyn please CVS give her prize or she teach Balboa worst staff please please.

If there was a zero, or negative, it'd be lower! I have had the same insurance for two years. Ever since 2020 started, this CVS was contracted and I could no longer go to Walgreens. I thought, no problem , this is down the street! Well, every two weeks when something is texted to me from this place, it's something. They NEVER have my insurane on file, but they down ask either. They just apply a discount card and hope I do not ask why the pricing is wrong. THAT is illegal. I constantly get told that the system that texted me to refill something, didnt go to them and I have to wait. EVERY TIME! More recently, I had major spinal surgery. I now cant just drive myself, and to even get out, requires the use of a back brace and walker. So two days ago I go in. Once again, the right meds aren'nt ready, then right at closing time, I ask why the cost is so high and they said, AGAIN "You don't have insurance, so we applied a discount card". At 9:00p.m., I leave with no medication and an "I'm sorry, can you bring your card in again tomorrow". I looked at the same woman who does this to me every two weeks and I said "NO", do you not see how hard it is for me to get from my house, to here"? She literally just keeps apologizing and never offers to fix anything. Their systems are messed up, they always make you when even after they said things are ready, they never update your RX number, and they don't even care that you are upset. I WOULD'NT GO TO THIS PHARMACY IF IT WAS THE LAST ONEIN SAN DIEGO. They are absolute;y horrible!

The pharmacist I saw was rude the entire interaction and was rude when I asked him to do what is the basic function of a pharmacy job. His aggressive attitude made me feel unsafe - I will never go to this pharmacy again. I asked to fill a Kaiser prescription at this pharmacy because I am no longer on Kaiser insurance but now on MediCal. He was rude during every part of the interaction - first critiqued me for thinking a CVS could do that (Kaiser told me it is common practice), then when he asked me for information, then when he told me he couldn't read their phone number, and then when answering my question of when it would be ready. If this guy resents having to do his job then why is he doing it? What is he trying to achieve with making a customer feel intimidated? CVS needs to put him through customer service training. In the meantime, I recommend people avoid this pharmacy and drive the extra half mile in any direction to get to another one.

All of the employees here are very helpful and polite. The pharmacists have gone out of their way to help me with some insurance problems and have saved me money. I appreciate the self checkout option as the regular checkout lines can get long at times.

Update:3/10/2019- the grab and go drink area is always covered in sticky exploded drinks like clearly it’s been going on for a year and yet still it happens and no one cleans it up. The manager of this store has had to see this doing his department sweeps I’m sure so what’s the deal. I have managed grocery retail and this would never be acceptable from my employees honestly this place is a joke. Update 03/2019- Just went to checkout at this horrible store and Gus who was working at the cash registers was so rude. My self checkout had a issue and he is quote said “well call that lady over there” and continued to point off in a random direction of the store. So I said “well then you call her to come help me” he continues to yell across the store “ hey (can’t remember the name ) come over here then turn to me and says “see that wasn’t that hard” then thankfully Jose comes over to diffuse the situation and helps me finish and check out and get on my way. However I have had issues with Gus before at this store he has poor customer service and needs to be coached more or possibly let go. Update: still a horrible CVS now the one perk thy had which was express check out Is broken. all but one of the four machines work and it’s been that way for weeks. This Store gets more and more dilapidated each day. The worst CVS I’ve ever visited. I have visited multiple times and I always receive Very extremely poor customer service. This place always has items not properly stocked, one week they have the product the next they don’t. They also have the Ability to accept Apple Pay/Samsung pay but always state “it’s not working” this CVS is an absolute drab mess and I’m upset to know that they even have the right to carry the CVS Name. I live close to this store but it may be better to start taking my business to another convenience store. I prefer CVS but this specific store is making me think other wise.

I’ve been coming to various CVS Pharmacies for the past decade. I came to this CVS to get some medication. I was denied because my ID just expired, which is totally fine. When I inquired about the law, the head pharmacists jumped out her hiding spot from customers to aggressively “explain”. I have never been treated with such unsolicited hostility before this, especially from a business. I will not be going to this CVS or any others again. I will take my business elsewhere.

I just have to say that never in my life have I been treated so disrespectfully by not only the cashier but by the shift supervisor on duty. So at around 6:30 pm Sunday 1/28/18I had gone in to exchange one item. Mind you I hardly ever make returns or bother with the whole coupon thing. So what I was asking for wasn’t much. On my receipt with my purchase I had used 6 dollar extra bucks that they basucally told me I couldn’t even get store credit for. Which to me is theft considering how much I spent to get that reward. I am also a former employee and shift supervisor in fact of Cvs and left the company on very good terms with raved reviews by regular customers and my former boss. What I witnessed was two men on a power trip display very poor customer service skills and quite frankly are not even mature enough or trained properly for the roles they were given. Especially the shift supervisor. As a manager you learn to pick your battles. This one was unnecessary to argue about. I hope no one experiences this level of disrespect like I did.
