I have a Velociraptor and I’m very particular with who works on my truck. In need of a new mechanic locally, a good friend recommended Mad Hatter. I stopped in and talked with them to make sure they were comfortable working on a Modified vehicle. After the conversation I felt completely comfortable with Ben working on my truck. Not exactly sure with what was going on and what was throwing all the codes on my truck and cutting the ac off, I was personally stuck between an electrical issue (wiring harness) and an ac issue. The guys at Mad Hatter and Ben the mechanic were extremely fast with the diagnosis and were extremely thorough. They fixed my truck and had it back to me the next day. Affordable, honest, fast, and phenomenal integrity; Mad Hatter will be the only guys touching my truck moving forward. They earned every bit of a 5 star. Since picking my truck up last week, I’ve put over 900miles on it and it’s running like the high performance beast that it is. After being t-boned, my son’s car was towed to Mad Hatter at the recommendation of a friend. The next business day, we received an estimate from the insurance adjuster. Shortly thereafter, Mad Hatter offered us a verbal estimate that was substantially different than the adjusters. This made me worry that my young son might be held accountable for the difference between the estimates. So, the next day, I called Mad Hatter and the adjuster. From the very beginning of my call, the Mad Hatter representative (Tom) did not like that I wanted to ask questions. Immediately, he stated, “if you want, we can stop working on your car and you can come and get it.” Thinking that Tom must have misunderstood me, I explained that I had no experience with getting a car repaired when an insurance company was paying for it. I explained that I needed his help in understanding that the insurance company would pay him for his services even if his cost was more than their estimate. I needed to know that my son would not be subject to paying any difference. I was very disappointed when Tom answered stating, “if you want, we can stop working on your car right now and you can have a tow truck take it out of here.” Realizing that Tom was not sympathetic to my situation, I changed course and asked him direct questions about his estimate which he also refused to answer. Two more times he told me I could just come get my car. It became clear that I had no choice but to send a tow truck to bring my car to another auto repair shop. Afterwards, Tom called my son to tell him that I was out of line. My son told Tom that he was on the call and heard everything, that I was in no way out of line, and that he (Tom) had been disrespectful throughout the call. From start to finish, Tom was rude and condescending. Later, the insurance adjuster told me he would have worked with Tom to reconcile the estimates and likely pay Tom’s estimate. That said, I believe that I had every right to ask questions regarding the work needed on the car, the cost of that work, and the process to be followed to assure Mad Hatter would be paid by the insurance company. The bottom line is that as customers, we have a right to be fully informed before being asked to make decisions; and every right to be treated with respect.

Visited this shop to see if they'll help me with a minor repair not even related to what they do... Well that didn't stop them from helping me and fixing my problem then refusing to be paid for their work!!! EXELENT OLD SCHOOL LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESS PROVIDING ABOVE AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!

Took my car here with Mike. My car had a small amount of smoke coming out the back. The car stayed at the shop for a couple days and they never found the problem. They made it much worse when it was returned to me. I was charged around $1200 for a flush and the car came out with a ton more smoke than before. I was told after I took the care home to drive it around and to communicate with Mike if there were any changes. Mike was hard to get a hold of and when I did he said he’d call back with a next step to see how to fix it because he couldn’t find any answers. Mike never called back. I spent $1200, got my car back much worse than before with no fix. This is why it’s hard to find a trustworthy mechanic.

Did the rear end and did not check the pattern, ruined the pinion. Kept the car for 5 weeks and kept claiming part delayed. The only time the car was worked on is when i stated i was taking the car out of the shop. at the time of taking the car out of the shop, the drive shaft was disconnected and not capped which resulted in loss of transmission fluid. Also, after getting the car out of the shop I noticed oil spots all over the top of the car. I would not recommend this shop. the definition of mad hatter fits the experience i endured.

This mechanic will rob you. He checked my radiator horse and confirmed with me it is free to check it. when he estimated the cost of repair in $800, I refused to do it because I know he overcharged me, So he changed his mind and asked me for $100 for checking the car. The weird thing I took my car to another mechanic and he only charged me $150 to do it. So he was trying to rob me in $650 . Be careful of this mechanic.

Had the best car repair experience, ever! They are nice, honest, and thorough. I live an hour south of this shop but will make the drive every time because it is so hard to find auto repair shops who are this great. I highly recommend them! Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

The team here really knows what they were doing and I trusted them with my 2019 Corvette to replace the exhaust with an aftermarket Flowmaster setup. Miller did an incredible job and made sure that everything fit absolutely perfectly before he would take it off the rack. He even spent time making sure the tips out the back lined up... better than the factory! Highly recommend coming here for exhaust work for any vehicle, old or new. Service: Exhaust

They don’t give us a reply button to whoever responds to these reviews but I’m glad they did because I’m not done. Yes i am satisfied with my tips, they look nice and they are up to my standards. You didn’t respond to the the bolts coming loose that they installed from my headers to the exhaust. The men at the shop showed me nothing but respect and that’s what they got in return. They have very nice cars at the shop which i also took a look at and they work speaks for itself. I’m just not understanding why MY truck had to be overpriced and not even finished. I have pics i just took 15 minutes ago of the “hangers” you guys installed both broken. One of them even ripped off a hole in the exhaust smh. And everything i mention i have proof I’m just on a phone right now and can’t upload my photos. So with what i was priced i got “Custom straight pipe lol” idk what’s Custom about straights but that’s what the receipt says and that came with 4 loose bolts and 2 broken hangers. So now since I’m out of state i have to pay to get hangers welded back to the exhaust and here another excuse from whoever it is responding to these reviews. I’ll be posting the pics later on today so I’ll be ready to see what the response is to those. You all have a nice day and may god continue to bless your hearts.
