12 Best bank in Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) 2024

This branch is very poorly managed, and has been for a while now.. I tried to come in yesterday to make a simple transaction.. There were two ladies in an office laughing and carrying on for over 10 minutes since I walked inside the bank.. There was one little Indian woman who was literally doing all of the work.. She literally had to plead for help from the other two women who didn't seem to care one bit about doing their jobs.. The Indian lady was doing both the drive-thru and handling customers inside.. The two ladies finally came out from the office and went behind the counter.. Still laughing and carrying on.. I am almost certain that one lady was the manager or assistant manager.. The other one was just a teller.. Another 5 minutes goes by and they still have done nothing.. Then the teller goes, "I can't get logged in on this computer".. Some other teller (referred to as "he") had gone to lunch and left her locked out of her computer.. How convenient for people who clearly didn't care and weren't actually trying to work anyway.. They said it would be 45 minutes before he came back from his lunch break.. I had enough and walked out... INCREDIBLY POOR MANAGEMENT to even allow that to happen.. People should be fired.. And the Indian lady deserves a raise.. ~MJBB33

I am surprised to see all the negative reviews. My experience with First Citizens has been wonderful. I brought my business to them after my Wells Fargo business accounts were compromised. My experience with them has been absolutely wonderful. They have additional services in place that helps you to protect your money/accounts that are top-notch. ~Keisha

I have banked with them for years. I closed my account today and I won't be back. When I first started my account with this location Customer Service was fantastic but now it is lackluster and really awful. If your staff is not happy then that trails down to how they treat their customers. I have seen many wonderful Tellers lthere leave for employment elsewhere and I hated to see them leave but happy they were finding better employment and better treatment elsewhere. If I could give this location a negative review I would! I went in on Wednesday 6/1 with a concern about my account! The personal banker (female with an accent) was so rude! She told me to bad there’s nothing I can do to help you help you and left me in tears! She even threw my debit card back at me! Didn’t even spend 1 minute with me! Luckily I work by the Wesley chapel location and they were amazing and helped me with an issue I had! To the lady at the arboretum location, well you should be ashamed of yourself and your the last person that should be in any kind of job in customer service! ~mallory

I deposited a check that they put on hold because they wanted to wait till the check cleared. They never made the funds available to me and did not cash the check because the hold was for 8 days. The check turned out to be a bad check after that they withdrew the money our my account as if they ever gave it to me. Apparently somebody doesn't kno how to do their job and needs to go back through training. They better fix my account ASAP ~jeremie

This branch used to be very good. Now with their huge overreaction to the so-called pandemic, I’ve waited for 20 minutes at the drive-through to make a simple cash deposit. Either open the branch or hire more than one teller,. Five cars in line. Same one customer is apparently doing his annual banking run. Five cars in line. Had an appointment for 9:30 am with a financial advisor. Booked appointment 2 weeks prior and was there at 9:30 to be informed that the financial advisor was on vacation and no one else could help me with my need. Manager offered to contact the 2 closer branches to see if they had an available financial advisor to meet with us. Manager came back and said I have emailed the branches and I am waiting on someone to email me back. As a manager myself I cannot understand why she didn't pick up the phone and call the branches instead of emailing and hoping for an answer. We were left sitting and waiting so we just left. Not a way to do business. ~Ana

Do not recommend this place. I was told to wait to open a business account. After 45min waiting i was told they have to give priority to customers with appointments. They obviously do not care about new customers trying to open a business account. ~Christian

You have me wait over 90 minutes to do a transfer? I’m trying to purchase a home and I’m quite sick of you guys. Fortunately I have options and going to a local credit union. Goodbye 22 years of loyalty & adios to these main stream banks that clearly do not know what it’s like to help their customers. I’ve heard they put priority on people with high level accounts. I literally keep this account only since I’ve had it since I was a teen. ~D

Poor customer service. We was waiting for over 30 min but it was only 3 people on the line. They don’t speak to anyone either. When it was my turn lashanda had a bad attitude like me waiting is her fault. Then when I get there she moves me to the side and I asked politely how long and she gave me a face like I wasn’t suppose to ask when I’ve already been here for 30 min waiting ~xiomara
