Chip Wood started Tire Discounters over 40 years ago. He revolutionized the industry at that time, including mounting and balancing at no additional charge. Many imitators (thank goodness!) do that these days, but Tire Discounters was the first. Then, in 1996, Chip started including a free alignment with standard installation on any 4-tire purchase. We’re still waiting for the rest of the industry to catch on to that innovation. Chip’s sons and daughter now work with him to carry on the traditions and values taught to them by their father, and Tire Discounters is still family owned and operated. In addition to tires, we offer all the maintenance services your vehicle needs, from oil changes, brakes, shocks and struts and much more.

I've been going to this Tire Discounters for several years, since I used to be able to walk there from my townhome. The crew both at the desk and in the garage do a tremendous job on tires, brakes and oil changes, whatever I've needed. James, Jeannie and the whole staff at the front desk over the years have been nice, courteous and always quick with a smile.

This location is excellent. The customer service was outstanding. They got me in/out pretty quick. Make sure you buy the road hazard insurance- it's worth it!

Not the same as it used to be. A little slow due to staff shortage. The main mechanic is new since the last time I was there. Not sure the new guy is as knowledgeable as the previous guy. They are over priced for auto repairs. Find your own mechanic.

All I needed was a flat tire repair for the nail that I ran over. I was literally the very first person in the door that morning when they opened up at 8:00am. I waited for over an hour and half to get my tire repaired and mounted back on the car. I asked if they could check the other 3 tires to make sure they didn’t have any nails. The service lady Brittany told me they would and when I asked if they did she said, “Oh yea they check everything over.” That’s not true, because I watched and they never bothered to put my car in the air in order to check the other tires. You can’t check all the tires when it’s on the ground to see the entire tire. I asked if they aired up all my tires to 35 PSI like I requested and was told they did. Again that is not true because when I left I stopped to check my tires and one of them was still only at 26 PSI! I asked if they would put the spare tire back into place in the trunk and was told yes they would. Guess what? They put it back but, they didn’t put the spare tire in the right way and they never secured it with the center lock nut! What the heck kind of service is that? There is no way I should have had to wait for over an hour and a half to get a flat tire repaired while people who walked in after me got their vehicles serviced and done before me especially when I was the very first person in the door! This is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. It seems like both of the Tire Discounter's we have been to have not only slow and terrible service but, then to be lied to when I asked for something to be done or checked on my vehicle and it wasn’t done, is unacceptable! It’s getting to the point where we will be taking our business elsewhere.

The tires we wanted were not in stock but Jeannie went the extra mile and found all 4 tires at several other locations. She thought it would take a couple of days to get them but she able to obtain the tires and schedule the install within 24 hours!

They gave me 2 “new” & 2 “used”, when I asked about the wear of the “titties” in two of the tires, I’m told extremely rudely “ that’s how the manufacturer sends them in “ “why are you questioning my integrity “…….. I think really Michelin has shabby manufacturing? , no way. So I call Michelin’s Corporate office, & come to find out Mr.Lawerence the “ GM “ at this store told me a straight face lie. Don’t trust his “golden rule” he’s a liar and this place will never ever get another dollar from me, or anyone I know. This is a sad way to run a business. I am going back to get my 2 new tires from a different Tire Discounters though.

First off, I think Tire Discounters does a nice job overall! I typically use the E Broad location as it’s closer to home. However, I don’t know that I’ll ever go anywhere but the 256 location. Larry was top notch!!! He was extremely friendly and answered every question I had. Most of all, he was upfront and honest and made my experience a great one! If you haven’t done business with Larry, you’re missing out!! Thank you for all the help!! It’s greatly appreciated!!

Bought a set of 4 new tires, the wait time I was quoted was spot on and the perks for the installation make it well worth revisiting. They also have the best sign guy in town, if you've ever drove down 256 and read their signs you know what I mean 😂

Bought a set of 4 new tires, the wait time I was quoted was spot on and the perks for the installation make it well worth revisiting. They also have the best sign guy in town, if you've ever drove down 256 and read their signs you know what I mean 😂

Took 2 cars here to have brand new tires put on brand new rims. I get my car and they must have dropped one and scraped it. Brand new black and red rims scratched due to carelessness. There is glue all over the tires and rims. They were very quick and got us in right away but this is unacceptable. Very disappointed and won't be going back.

We had a tire blow out last evening. I called another place where we had automotive work done. No tires for our Accord in stock and the shop was closing at noon due to illness. Then I thought of Tire discounters. I had used them before without drama. I called and they said that they could work me in if I could leave the car at the store. They “worked me in” and finished replacing two tires in 30 minutes. They did so - even though many of their techs were out because of Covid. They had tires in stock - at multiple price points. I have gotten my tires at this particular Tire Discounters for years and with 3 different cars. As I was leaving - I asked what they would charge to air up the tires of my friend’s car. I offered to pay for her tires to be looked at since she was kind enough to drive me there. TD aired up her tires at no charge! No drama, good service, good products. Professional.
