I was treated poorly at my visit at gamestop at valley view mall Roanoke va location the employee was rude to me the whole time I was there I was there selling a Ps4 pro 1TB call of duty modern warfare and she kept telling me that she couldn't except because it was sealed and I told her that it wasn't sealed it just had a strip of cellophane around it and I had used it for a few minutes a couple of times I had to ask to open and she would see that the game inside wasn't sealed and she started throwing my packaging on the floor, she just a terrible attitude I almost just walked out instead of doing business with her, there employees need to be more friendly this visit was on 7/29/2022 around lunch time

You are lucky there isn't a negative rating on here. I'd give you a -5 stars. Don't pay for anything up front for a pre-order because they will sell it out from under you even within their 48 hour policy hold. I see why this business is going under. I have never been treated so poorly by a company before and being a manager of a business would never treat a guest this way. GameStop will no longer get any of my business.

I traded in a PS4 and some games for store credit. I cancelled an in store order that I made with the gift card but was never refunded. When I cancelled the order, the website said that the funds could not be added back to my gift card so a new gift card would be mailed to me but I never received it. Apparently, the online customer service can’t see the in store transactions and vice versa so they just blame each other. There have been 30+ emails and most responses come from different people because no person is assigned your case/complaint. I’ve asked where the balance of the $230 went and they won’t respond. I’ve asked for a list of all transactions for the gift card and they won’t respond. Their gift card system is horrible and causes consumers to lose money because, apparently, Gamestop can’t even track purchases. Their customer service system sucks because no one person is assigned to help you. Even if 1 individual tries, to help the customer’s response will go to someone else. Save yourself some trouble and shop elsewhere. If nothing else, don’t ever buy gift cards or take in-store credit here as they can’t track it.

Stopped in to buy gift cards. They had exactly what I needed, and the customer service was great! I even was warned about how scammers trick folks into buying cards! Not everyone knows that, so I was happy to hear the disclaimer.
