If I could give a negative star I would. I was accosted by the “manager” James at the Spokane international airport. I simply requested a receipt and he came from behind the counter and jumped in front of me. He has no business working in customer service. He was physically intimidating me. What is wrong with our world!!

Tim at the counter was amazing! He turned a mistake by me into an opportunity to provide excellent customer service. I made the wrong reservation date and scheduled it a day earlier. When I arrived the reservation had expired. Tim took my error and was able to find a vehicle, which were in very short supply, and help me get to my destination. Tim needs a raise and to be employee of the month!

The person at the counter where I picked the car up was very friendly and courteous. The car was in excellent condition. And when I returned the car, the person handling the return was very professional and courteous. Overall I had an excellent experience.

National does it again… needed to modify a reservation but the app wouldn’t let me. Called in to the main number and they said the local branch would be able to make the change. Informed them when this happens no one from the local branch offices ever call me back, the person insured me someone would call that day… well no one called as usual. This is the 5th or 6th time this has happened to me, at least twice with this specific location. I ended up calling the branch myself where the woman who answered said even though I have a confirmed reservation for 7 days she could not make the change to 6 days because they are completely booked. So I can’t cut my trip short by by one day on the front end because they are booked…? When I explained this made no sense the woman became rude and said if I needed anything else to call back, no thanks. I’ll be taking my 60-100 rental days a year some place else. Bye!

Give yourself extra time. Big fan of national, but you have to go to the counter at this location, no straight to a car. Also, after waiting in a line for 15 minutes, they didn't have any cars ready, so you had to wait another 10-15 minutes for a car. Employees at the counter weren't hustling, but you were going to wait in or out of line regardless. The gentleman behind the counter said this is pretty normal for this location this summer. Drop off was easy, but if no one is there you have to drop your keys at the counter which is on your way.

I rent 2 to 3 cars a month so I feel pretty confident in my assessment that National is the absolute best company. Honestly part of it is just how simple everything is, pick up, drop off, receipts, modifications, everything moves so smoothly. I flew into Spokane and found out that my car rental had been booked incorrectly (not by National obviously). A little nervous about being stranded with no car, I headed over to the National counter where Nicole and Shelby were helpful and friendly. They had me in my favorite car (a Charger) in minutes, everything was handled so quickly and they were pleasant too! At the end of a long travel/work day it’s it’s so nice to deal with pleasant people like these ladies.

Quite possibly the best customer service professional I've come across! I really hope I'm remembering the name correctly (brain fog). If I'm not, I hope he sees this and calls me so I can correct the name and give credit where credit is TRULY due. Jay helped me out of a really unfortunate situation as I was flying in for medical treatment late Sunday night. The phone customer service professionals were incredibly unhelpful and caused quite a bit of complications for me, but when I showed up in person and talked to Jay, he went above and beyond to fix the issues others caused and was so genuinely nice, patient, and caring while he did it. Talk about a good human and an incredible worker. It's hard to find many of those, and for this very ill patient, he made my trip SO much easier. Jay, thank you for your kindness to me and for shining light in a dark situation!! You are a gift.

The first car that was given by national was a Toyota RAV4 after getting on the interstate it flashed maintenance required. I had a meeting in Wenatchee and cannot turn around and go back to the rental center. I returned the Toyota on Thursday and swapped it out but it cost me $85 in gas to do it. No apology from National for giving me a car that needed maintenance done to it.

National is excellent to work with! I rent 20-30 times per year, mostly for work. Always have the option to choose my car, love the flexibility and always very fast—go straight to the car pick it and go. No waiting in line, no checking the car for damage, etc. I always receive excellent service.

I came in to Spokane for work and arrived a bit early. I came to the counter and the customer service guy was amazing. So friendly and very conversational. I enjoyed chatting with him. He gave me an option of what cars he had available in the style I had chosen and even made suggestions on the ones he preferred. I rented a mid size SUV and it was a beautiful, clean, well taken care of vehicle. I would rent here again for sure.
