Enterprise Rent-A-Car

There’s bad customer service, and then there’s this Enterprise. I got a rental from them a little while back. The pick up process was fine, they put me in a car similar to my own and let me go. Did not realize at the time that there was no inspection before leaving with the car. Drove for about two weeks and came back to drop it off once my car was available. Upon inspection this time around there were “scratches” (salt marks easily rubbed away) and a tiny dent near the gas cap. Well I had just put gas in it that morning and there was no scratches. Cannot confirm or deny the dent but can confirm I did not do anything to this car for there to be a dent. Told them there was no inspection prior to pick up and that as I had just put gas in it and drove right there, there was no way to have scratched or dented it nor was it there when I put in gas. The woman checking us back in asked if we were accusing her of damaging the car, we did no such thing. Then I hear the staff loudly talking extremely poorly about the woman who had left as I arrived. Not cool. As we were simply confused as to how any damage could have happened to the car, the woman who did the check in was adamant that we were blaming her. We ended up being charged lots of money for “damages” which our insurance company was able to handle but jeez. The customer service I received here was so atrocious that I felt the need to write this. Would avoid if possible. ~Logan

Eddie Bauer

Rating this store in particular and not the clothing product itself. The assistant manager here acts helpless and unwilling to uphold the longstanding Eddie Bauer return policy. When I asked her to contact the manager, she stayed it was his day off and she wouldn't bother with it. She stated the return policy in opposition to what I pulled up on the Eddie Bauer website, though having her see it she still defied the policy, as though it was her personal agenda and not that of the company. She was not at all pleasant to deal with and borderline defiant. She did not offer up a single solution other than me driving back (80 miles round trip) to deal with the real manager another day. I had to take the initiative to call the corporate number to Eddie Bauer. It took all of 20 seconds to clear up the issue. The representative on the phone was shocked that the in-store assistant manager would not take the items for return, that clearly met the policy. On that brief phone call they were happy to take all three items back in return in exchange for a full refund, they sent me the return labels in email and it was a very simple exchange process. The sad part is that I, the customer, must do all the work. The helpless assistant manager couldn't even make a single recommendation to help me with my issue. She was happy to just let me throw the clothes in the trash and walk out as an upset customer. Poor management. All she could say in the end was I'm glad you got your issue taken care of..... And she's not wrong, I...I...I had to take care of it. I've shopped at Eddie Bauer exclusively for years, simply because they have a good product and their return policy has always been superfluous to other stores. Thanks to derelict people like this assistant manager, I will no longer visit brick and mortar stores like the majority of this world, I'll just stick to online shopping. ~Mark

Best-One of Indy

Brett and the team at Best-One did a great job with replacing my old tires - in and out in around 45 min. I selected my tires before coming to the shop, but I was surprised by Brett's comment that I should enjoy a quieter ride than my old set. Sure enough, he was right and it was very noticeable - not just quieter but ride quality is less harsh! I can see why the front desk and "pit crew" have gotten this shop an A+ rating. ~Quintin

Monon Community Center

The woman's showers are so outdated and gross, crud and mildew, like prison showers but with less water pressure. The maximum capacity numbers for the pool should be cut in half, that is way too many people for the pool to be enjoyable. 80% of people have to sit on the concrete because the capacity numbers are outrages the entire summer, completely packed. There is no hot tub. There's no sauna. There's no military discounts, no student discounts. For $50 a month, I felt disappointed. ~SJ

Carmel Total Fitness

After being a member for about 2 years, I decided to go elsewhere. Finally getting around to writing my review. There are a handful of pro’s and con’s about this gym. In summary this is a good gym that could be greatly improved by a few small tweaks. Equipment: Although I really enjoyed the weight equipment, the treadmills and ellipticals are ancient. Facility: The facility is somewhat well kept. However the bathrooms are filthy. The showers in particular are horrendous. This was surprising to me as every news letter I got boasted about the cleanliness of the facility. Atmosphere: Overall the atmosphere is casual, but has some pretty serious "bro" vibes...One trainer made an unsolicited point to critique every single exercise I did. Lastly, the receptionist, never said hi, smiled, or greeted me. I’d expect that at local gym. ~Adam

Shred415 Carmel

Shred415: a great workout studio that doesn't take itself too seriously, unlike a similar place with a color in its name... if you catch my drift. Every time I take a Shred class I leave in a better mood. Everyone (and I mean everyone) on staff is friendly and genuinely seems happy that you're there. The music is great and the workouts are challenging but also very customizable to how you're feeling that day. I don't live in Indianapolis anymore but when I'm home, my trip feels incomplete if I'm not able to get at least one Shred class in. ~Clare
