I came here for an inspection and tire change in the past. It’s close to home so I liked the convenience, even though I could go somewhere cheaper. Today, I came to get a full synthetic oil change. They said it would be $109 which is appalling. I asked why they cost so much and the guy said “oil has gotten expensive, go see how much it is at Walmart.” So I did, it’s $49 for a full synthetic oil change. Since I already booked the appointment and needed to get it done I said it’s fine just pay and don’t come back. 2 hours later I get a text my car is ready and I come back to pick it up. I see my car with an open hood in the garage. I tell them I’m ready to pick up and say yeah that’s my car right there. They take my money and I wait for my car. 5 mins later they ask what I’m waiting for to which I respond… my car. They didn’t even finish the oil change. They texted me to come get my car and didn’t even finish my oil change. They tried to offer me half off but realized they already took my money. Offered half off the next one but I’m not coming back here.

I visited today to get my car inspected and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! I had never been previously, but had decided to give them a try as other places advised the wait time was 4 hours for an inspection. Stone Springs was able to get me in and out with friendly and fast service. Thank you again, Nassir!

It was my services and I dealt with Nick for the entirety of the time I was there. He was absolutely great and forthcoming and explained everything to me without making me feel like I should know the esoteric language of auto repair. Also, after concluding with the inspection and the emissions he asked if I would like for him to go Virginia DMV to complete the information there and to renew my license. He understood that that was the purpose of my emissions inspection request and without my asking he went an extra step further to make things easier for me. I will be using their services for the two vehicles My wife and I have, as well as the vehicle that my granddaughter drives. I could not be happier with the way I was treated. Thanks again Nick. UPDATE: Requested (2x via email) receipts (8/08) and itemized list of parts replaced to complete an independent inspection of my vehicle. Have not heard back from Owner/staff. Submitted complaint to Office of the Attorney General. Received a response (8/29) from owner - did not include receipts, itemized list of replacement parts. It took me having to get on a call with the owner after he kept my car with him for nearly a month and INSISTED that all I had to do was drive my car around, for him to finally run a proper diagnostic test and 'miraculously' he figured out the issue, ordered the special parts, and my emissions was completed. The staff is super rude and lack customer service skills. I came in for an emission test and the guy at the front desk and the emission guy both were super rude. I had a look at their reviews and looks like this is a problem that many have called out in the past. I left without getting the service done. This is my first and last time I am visiting them. Update: I saw the reply posted from the owner, I never asked to skip the line and was totally fine waiting. And I want to reiterate how rude the staff was. I even mentioned it to one of the staff members of how disappointed I was with the staff being so rude and his response was "go ahead and write a review". And that actually prompted me to write one. Also, I am actually glad this poor experience helped me find a hidden gem. Gumspring Auto World, the staff was courtious and provided great quality of service.

Visiting from Michigan, Took my Cadillac escalade to this shop for just a balance, went in with a small vibration and now driving back can not even pass 70mph due to the high vibration. They made it worse. I don't recommend this shop, and worse when I called to let them know he tells me to turn around and drive 3 he's for him to fix it! That's the kind of service you provide. Thanks but no thanks.

They delete my comment seriously don’t go there i have just car over heating problem when they fix it engine light is on never happened before when i told them they said thats not our fault so guys don’t go there seriously!!! Yes i did before ratting too u delete thats why i retype again and u said what the engine light came after i drive like seriously same day came when i pay the over heating and they check engine light then they said thats not our fault u have to pay extra for that like seriously!! I have been going to Stone Springs Auto for a few years now. Every single time I’ve had excellent service and honest feedback on my car. Once I couldn’t get a ride back to the shop for my car, so the owner came and picked me up. That’s just one example of the above and beyond service I’ve received. This last time I went for my car inspection. Again, amazing service and explanations for every step of the inspection. I highly recommend this shop for anyone needing car repair or inspection services. Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change, General repairs & maintenance

I live near South Riding, but drive to a mechanic in Fairfax that I have been using for almost 20 years because he is trustworthy. I went to Virginia Auto Service on the recommendation of a friend. They immediately identified me as a new customer and were eager to help me. I noticed was a brand new alignment machine in the bay which is a good sign. The shop's service is fast, professional, up-to-date and honest. This may become my new go to shop in my neck of the woods. I will definitely return and recommend them for Virginia State and Emissions Inspections.
