10 Best chicken restaurant in Houston, Texas (TX) 2024

Horrible customer service, Hannah had an attitude!! cash only! I wanted to turn around but there was a car behide me and the one way design I couldn't pull around so I waited in line until I was at the window. Since I waited why not try to order at the window so I asked how much exactly is it going to be? ( I WASNT SURE I HAD THE CASH) She said the price 5.19 and insisted I go back around and order because I didn't order at the speaker she said (they can't its a waste of their time and I have other orders behide me) I drove off after she told me all this RUDLY!! I'll never stop there again! 4400 W fuqua. ~Josh

This location is extremely horrible!!! The general manager Dawn is very rude and inconsiderate. The food is always sloppy,half or overcooked. Workers doesn’t dress in uniform properly. I’m a daily customer and there is always workers hanging around the building smoking no telling what! They close a few times a week early. Liz always tell me she takes customers money for her pocket and not ring things up. The ice cream machine is never cleaned as well as the soda machine. Slime is in this place and it doesn’t seem to be cleaned well because the outside is always nasty. I don’t see how they have customers that they do. My nephew worked at this location months ago and said everything in this place is totally disgusting!!! Health department needs to check this place out ASAP!!!! ~Bigg

Very slow, not great customer service. the drive through line piled up, the speaker to order was broken, and the wait was extremely long. It took almost 10 minutes to attend 1 order. It looks like the place is understaffed, i don’t blame the employees because they’re working hard, i blame the management. The food is good but the way this place runs is unorganized, slow, and inefficient. ~Domingo

This is probably the best Popeyes I’ve ate at. I’ve been here a few times and was never disappointed. The spicy chicken sandwich is my favorite menu item. The staff here is nice and service is prompt. The only thing that kept me from giving this restaurant 5 stars is that the place could be a bit more tidy. Other then that, the place is amazing. ~Russ

The worst experience I've had at an otherwise wonderful location. My buns were burned, and I only received a handful of fries. The meat patty was pretty cold in the middle. This is the second time I've had a bad experience here in the last couple of weeks, but ultimately this one stood out. ~Chelsi

Ordered through UberEats, 4 stars because order was slightly incorrect. Chicken sandwich was regular instead of honey BBQ and was missing pickles. 12 cookies were ordered, only 11 in the bag. Food was still good though! ~Elizabeth

The lady that sold me the 8 piece family meal today (April 23, 2022 at 4:05 PM) asked me to back up the car passed the sensor and pull up again for the reason that french fries takes long? It tool exactly 3 minutes btw. I’m not sure why she asked me to to that. I ordered a family meal extra crispy. Chicken tastes absolutely nasty. It smells like burned oil, overcooked, soggy, oily, cold, NO crispy whatsoever. To be honest, I almost got sick just smelling it. I ordered to go, I live 5 minutes away. They even forgot to close the lid of the gravy, made it spilled everywhere in the bag… To the owner: this is the second times in the row that I am dissatisfied with the food quality of this location. I write this review so you know it need to improve, I hope it helps. ~Sean

Stopped by Whataburger on the way to jury duty at Reliant (7:30 AM on a Monday). Parking lot was busy but plenty of open spots. I was 2nd in line for my order which was taken quickly. Two employees came up and said hello and asked how my day was going. Once I sat down, my honey butter chicken biscuit was out in about 3 minutes. It was hot & tasty! Two more employees stopped by to check on me while I was eating. Restaurant was clean (my table was spotless). Manager does a great job here and all the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Thanks! ~Mark

Honestly I can't believe how lazy y'all can be I ask for my breakfast burrito with white eggs and this what I get and this is not the first time I get all this mistakes and I always end up eating all my food anyways cause I can't go back to proof y'all my food was made wrong cause I never check my food cause always I wanna trust y'all that probably this time y'all did my order right but I guess not and it's always in this location always ~Noreli

Do not go here they are selling and serving spoiled rotten chicken. The chicken smelt so bad (like sewer). Crazy part about it workers act like that couldn’t smell. They served this to a pregnant lady. Fries are old as well ~Alexa
